Red Holy Basil (2300 Seeds) Seeds - 1 Package From Chai Tai, Thailand

Holy basil is hard to find here at the market therefore I decided to plant them from seeds. I planted them at the same time I planted my other variety of basils. After 3 weeks, I had given up. The germination wasn’t happening while my other variety was thriving. I deemed the seeds as bad seeds. Then after another 2 weeks maybe more..they just showed up and started growing very slow. As soon as the weather here hit over 85F...they started growing super fast! I may have planted them too deep or too early in the spring stunning the sprouting growth but they are doing just fine now. In fact I’ve way too much and have been giving some of the plants away to neighbors. I would recommend a lot of patience and possibly germinate them indoors with a heat mat if you can, they need lots of heat to get going.

These seeds WILL NOT produce the purple TULSI holy basil. THis is the green leaf kind. I planted mine 4 months ago, took forever to grow their true leaves and now theyre just green, no sign of purple developing at all. Extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this seller, they arent selling you what they say they are.

I'm an experienced gardener.I bought this package krishna tulsi seeds 2500 seeds in october 2016, hoping it's going to be a great but finally very badly disappointed about the seeds.Not a single seed germinated at all.the seeds were in tin foil seal packet but nothing. another thing that the packet did not contain 2500 seeds as advertised..Germination rate 0. I won't recommend this seller to anyone who will have a desire to purchase tulsi seeds in future or any materials. disappointed buyer!very very bad deal and seller.

I originally purchased these several years ago and have tried to grow some holy basil each year. Unfortunately the seeds rarely germinate, and the few seedlings that result have not ever grown well. I'm in a coastal California climate, definitely much cooler than Thailand, but regular Thai basil germinates and grows fine from April - October or so.

I sowed the seeds 30 day ago, they germinated within 2 days, after thinning the plants are already 6 inches tall. The flavor of the holy basil is nothing like Thai sweet basil, so that is a bit of a surprise. If someone put a leaf under my nose and ask me what it was, I'd not be able to say its a basil.Seeds arrived very fast, and nearly 100% germination rate.

Title says 2300 send. Got about 50..

I received the seed packet and all the seeds were mashed and even seemed moldy. Stuck to the inside of the foul packet.

This is not holy basil as claimed by the seller. We planted the seeds and the plant is nothing like a basil. Doesn't smell or taste like one.
