Packing MUST!
Let me start by saying that I'm a tad bit obsessive, when it comes to packing.I believe in packing things neatly, organizing everything ahead of time, and being able to simply unpack, unwrap, and place things in the house without having to reorganize. With that being said, this wrap is AMAZING. I've always seen movers come with giant rolls of this stuff, zzrrrp zzzrrrrrpp zzzrrrpp-ing around the furniture, and thought to myself, "why don't I just do that, too?"So, I organized all of our stuff before our recent move, ordered one of these bad boys, and started wrapping away. At first, I have to admit that I was a bit worried about how thin it seemed. I thought, "what if it rips open during the move?" NOT TO WORRY! This stuff seems thin, but it holds up fantastically. Once we got to the new house, I was able to cut through the wrap (which hadn't even been nicked, much less ripped or torn apart) and easily place everything throughout the house without having to bother with reorganizing everything that had been packed.Overall, a much-needed and awesome buy. DEFINITELY recommend! If my review has helped you in any way, please let me know, or hit "Yes" under this review. Thank you! :)

Great product! Glad I gave it a try
Great product! Glad I gave it a try!!!We have moved more than I want to think about - 3 times in the last 1.5 years! - so we have some experience in the packing department. For our recent move, we decided to prep/wrap ALL the furnitures ourselves. I was a bit wary due to some of the negative reviews, but decided to give this one a try since I was only purchasing it as a back up - we still have a supply of wraps from our last move. The other reason I gave this a try was because of the price - I've researched all reputable sellers (Home Depot, Lowes, Uhaul, Upack, Walmart, Office Depot, etc...) and could not find a better price anywhere. Well, we did end up needing it, and it turned out to be just perfect! Works exactly the same as the ones we previously purchased from professional moving companies. Did not tear or break as some have mentioned. I actually ended up ordering a second roll because we were wrapping the heck out of everything!!! Again, great product! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great way to protect against bed bugs
If you can somehow get this thing tightly wrapped around your mattress, it keeps those little night nasties out. Anybody who's had this particular bug issue knows how tough and expensive it can be to be done with them. This plastic works best when wrapped around nice and snug, and although it's not necessary, you can apply steam or heat from a blow dryer to make it tighter. There's plenty of plastic too, so there is room for waste from mistakes. Now, pay attention here. Just because you can seal out the bugs from your expensive mattress, there's nothing you can do about them hiding and laying eggs on your bed sheets. Be careful not to track any on your bed and you can be bug free. Thanks Pratt Industries and Amazon.

and the description seemed to indicate it was not easily ripped, yet I find that it quite easily ...
I read the negative comments but was really hoping to feel they were just off or something. This is very thin, and the description seemed to indicate it was not easily ripped, yet I find that it quite easily rips. It will take several wraps around an item to feel it's really secure. I will not buy again, and luckily I only invested about $10. I will probably get that much worth out of it but not for furniture. It will be more helpful when I want to ship something I think, more as a covering rather than a protective measure.I can easily poke a finger thru the middle of the wrap, and I think even easier than the Saran or Glad wrap I use in the kitchen. For that matter, I suppose this is probably cheaper than several rolls of that, so maybe it will be best used as a kitchen food covering. The comments about the length and all not being what is stated . . . I can see where people would get that impression. Parts of the roll are not stretched as wide, and this is where the easy tearing part comes in, so it seems as if it isn't as wide as it states. There may be more expensive options, but this is a case of "you get what you pay for." I had hoped to feel differently.

it's pretty tricky to get it to grip on
It did the job, however, it was a little tricky to get off the roll and apply. We used this to wrap up our couches for a move and until you already have a layer around the couch, it's pretty tricky to get it to grip on. For the price I cannot complain, but next time I'll probably go with a wider size -- and maybe one with handles. If you use this one, I recommend two people - so someone can hold it down as you wrap!

Wish I knew this was available online years ago!
I had no idea you could buy industrial grade wrap anywhere this cheap. I feel so sorry for all the people buying the tiny roll specifically sold for evaporated coolers because they're getting a junk product and leaving with maybe 5% of what you get with this product. You have so many options with this. I used it on my evap cooler at the end of fall, then I moved in the spring and used this to wrap my table, dresser, table legs (together), etc. So they were protected from dangerous and scratches in the moving truck. Worked like a charm! The possibilities are endless. I'm gonna stock up on these.
