Thinking about those beans
They’re beans. Pinto beans, specifically. You warm them up to your desired temperature, you eat them, and later pass some gas. All around a good time. I’m no pinto bean connoisseur, I honestly don’t know if there are better pinto beans out there, but I enjoy eating these, and I eat them often enough that buying a case of 12 cans at a time makes enough sense to me that I’ve done so more than once. I usually have them with chicken, sometimes rice, and some various Mexican-style flavorings, or just some hot sauce. I’m sure you have your own recipes in mind or you wouldn’t be here. Makes for a nice hearty meal without a lot of fuss or prep time. Tastes good. Some of the oligosaccharides feed the bacteria in your large intestines for hilarious results. What more do you want me to say?

Best beans
I love Eden’s brand beans. They are organic, pressure cooked, and come in No Salt Added. I feel they are the best brand out there and so glad Amazon sells them!

These are the best for our burritos and soup; they have a mellow flavor we love.
We love everything that goes into these beans; I prepare them with olive oil and cumin seeds for a low-salt meal. They have a great flavor and texture that makes them versatile and healthy. I love all the Eden line of foods!

Good quality, but beans tend to stick in can
The quality of all Eden organic beans is excellent. Being preservative free with very little sodium (less than 100 mg per can), the flavor of the beans comes through and is excellent. The one complaint I have about Eden pinto beans is that they tend to chelate (leech their protein). This causes them to stick in the can, and removing them requires one to force them out of the can with a spoon, knife, or fork. The end result is that many of the beans get smashed, which doesn't work well if you want to boil or cook them, although it would save some time in making a vegan version of re-fried beans.Note that you'll find brown specks in some varieties of Eden beans. Do not be alarmed: the specks are kombu (kelp), an organic sea plant that's used as a natural preservative. The kombu can be consumed with the beans, or you can rinse it away.

Eden organic pinto beans as good as chickpeas but less expensive.
Sometimes I substitute Eden organic pinto beans for garbanzo beans for chickpeas when I make hummus. Although Eden organic pinto beans give hummus a slightly different flavor, it still taste great. I add Barron organic tahini that I also buy from Amazon to make my hummus whether I use chickpeas or pinto beans. I use Santa Cruz fresh fresh –squeezed (not a concentrate) organic lemon juice or organic Veda organic powdered Lemon or Grelim organic powdered lemon - all Amazon third-party vendors - when I make hummus. Eden pinto beans is a nice switch from the Goya organic chickpeas that I buy from Amazon at just a slightly higher price than Eden organic pinto a beans.
