Some say this is a “revision” of the caline orange burst but this sounds more like an actual blues breaker with active highs and lows. I haven’t opened it up and looked at the circuit yet so I can’t confirm but consider the name “crushing orange” and “blues breaker” are similar.Both are great pedals though and I’d suggest trying both.

Wow, what a great overdrive pedal. You can never have too many overdrive pedals, and for this price it's hard not get it. I first learned about this pedal from an video from Josh of JHS pedals where he recommended it. I'm glad that he did, and I took his suggestion.

I prefer the earlier version, because I use it as a clean boost. For that purpose, the CP18 May be better. I think this is a great pedal, just not best for my uses.

Go figure. Easy to find southern rock tone to snappy pop rock tones; almost defaults to Texas strattiness.

Boxy tone

Nails Alice Coopers’ “18” sound almost exactly, if not exactly. Great for Vintage Orange amp tone. Completely worthless for anything else ( maybe a clean boost). Not a lot of distortion, just like an Orange amp. (Far short of “crushing”.)Someone gave it one star because it sounds “boxy and flat”. Make no mistake, it sounds boxy and flat, just like an Orange amp. Did I mention it sounds like a Vintage Orange amp? Well, it does. Quality Caline pedal, good build. Don’t let the small price tag fool you.
