I figured, why the hell not....
I picked this up using a few Amazon gift cards I had burning a hole in my pocket. Reading the reviews, I figured that if nothing else, I would be able to use it as a boost pedal. I decided to test it out on the cheapest amp I had, which was a 5 watt Monoprice tube amp. I wanted to use the least capable amp so I could see what it could do.I set the amp to be just on the verge of clipping and started testing. I found out that the reviews for this pedal aren't wild hyperbole. I can set it low and get an excellent boost to push my little amp into overdrive, which sounded almost exactly like the amp does when the pedal is eliminated and the volume cranked. I was surprised by how little coloration I was able to dial out of the boost. Then I dialed it up and got buttery clipping while still being able to easily clean up the tone with the guitar volume knob. I'm not playing Metallica covers with this thing, but I am getting my Les Paul Florentine to absolutely sing through it. I found many settings in-between that tickled my ears, as well. I plugged in my Tele, and the responsiveness increased. The lower output single coils enabled me to *really* clean up the clipping when I rolled down the volume. It just keeps getting better by the minute.I kept shaking my head looking at the pedal and amp, realizing that the two together cost me less than $150. While I like the 6L6 clipping that my little Champ clone produces, I grinned ear-to-ear hearing the sound crafted by the Pegasus. It was wonderfully more full and alive.I've never played through a genuine Klon, much less owned one, but this pedal doesn't have to be a "perfect" clone of a Klon to be an absolutely wonderful pedal. Fantastic value.

THIS A KLON!!
I saw this on a pedal shoot out JHS pedals channel. Josh Scott, owner of JHS, owns pretty much type every Klon ever made, and he did a blind shoot out on his show. I couldn't tell the difference between the Klon and the Pegasus, so I bought one immediately. I admittedly had my doubts for youtube reasons, (fyi avoid the NUiX Plexi crunch. It's total crap #IgotYouTubed). I only have high end gear, so I thought I'd give a few less expensive pedals a shot. 9/10 times less expensive gear is less expensive for a reason. I'm here to tell you this IS a Klon!! Caline should be charging double or triple the price. This thing is only $50! Seriously, stop reading reviews and buy one NOW, before Caline realizes what they have, or stops making them, and the price skyrockets. My Main Rig for reference: PRS McCarty 594 / Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s, playing through dual mono wet/dry Marshall DSL and Vox Custom AC30CH w/ 2x12 cabs (Celestion Vintage 30 / Celestion Greenbacks ). You'll seriously be surprised!

Not good for the long run
It’s a Klon clone. Not too complicated. Great sound. Helped get that punchy distortion with the low gain Plexi setting. After about 60 days it started making noise. Not the best road-worthy pedal.

Klon clone
I have never before owned a klon pedal but this one allowed me to dial in a tone that was very well pleasing. But that tone was the only good tone I could get from it and that’s fine. For the money it’s a good value. I’m not a metal player but I am more of a Jazz Fusion style player. I think it is a useful pedal but you must dial it in.

Overhyped
This Klon craze is out of control. The Caline Pegasus got so many stellar reviews that I had to try it. It was a big disappointment. I tried it at full gain and as a clean boost into the dirty channel of my amp. It sounded bad in both cases. I don't understand the hype around it. The Mojo Mojo by TC Electronic is vastly superior for a few dollars more.

Updated Review - Second one died on me as well
The media could not be loaded. Well unfortunately I am updating my review a second time. My pedal died. Everything was working fine then I turned it on today and nothing but a quiet tapping sound. Still run in bypass but once engaged it doesn't work.I have given up trying and purchased a Soul Food by EHX. It's a shame, the Caline sounds wonderful honestly. I would recommend it a thousand times based on the tone. However I went through 2 and I have not had the luck with it.I left original review below as reference. However I decided to give this one more shot and ordered another one. This one works perfectly and as described. I run it into a Blackstar HT20R MKII and regardless of the channel this has something to offer without effecting the tone much. The gain/distortion is smooth and turns up to a nice growl.I would definitely buy again. I still left one star off because of the terrible dud I received the first time. Amazon is easy to return and order again, but still.Original Review:I would love to write better things regarding this pedal. Unfortunately it does not work at all. I was excited when it came in and plugged it right up. I used both a power supply then also tried the battery adapter. The Volume and Tone may have had some impact but essentially it just cut sound when turned on. This seems to be coming sirectly from the Gain pot/circuit. I wasn't expectin Klon quality but previous reviews suggested at least decent performance.I recieved a dud and will be returning it promptly. I'm willing to possibly try again. But there are other options I may try instead.

great bargain
i play high gain stuff and this pedal tightens my tone without removing bass like a tube screamer. i've had at least a dozen tube screamers and tube screamer derivatives, but this is my first o/d pedal that claims to be a klon clone, and i really like it. i run this pedal with everything at noon into a vfe standout mid-boost into a high gain amp. i alternate between this and my favorite fuzz (dod carcosa) depending my mood.one interesting thing: i run my dirt pedals through a dying battery simulator, and this pedal is the only dirt pedal i've ever tried that is unhappy running on dropped voltage. not an issue, but i find it interesting as none of the many o/d / distortion / fuzz pedals i've tried have shown this behavior.this is my 3rd caline pedal and they seem to make good stuff. for the price you can't go wrong.

Outstanding value
A very clean distortion. This is not the saturated style of fuzz, rather it leaves the source signal in tact and adds boost, presence and what sounds like valve amp overdrive around the edges. A terrific add to the pedal board for the price.

Value for Money
Adds a better effect when playing. Worth getting.

Caline hace buenos pedales
Un pedal clone que hace maravillas por un precio de derribo. Igual para profesionales exigentes no sirve pero yo no noto diferencia con uno igual de mayor precio. Construcción robusta y buena calidad.
