dissappointed
This book started out great and then all of a sudden it was as if the writer got bored with the characters or was on a deadline to finish the book or both. 2/3rds of the way into the story it became predictable AND character story lines that should have been dealt with longer fizzle out. At one point one of the main characters looses her life - or so we are lead to believe and then she is fine and living back on the island. How did she get there? Everything was so detailed before that point and then wham! The detail to the color of everything was so spot on you could imagine everything; the color and print of the dinnerwear, the grit of the sand, the smell of the village. The endng was disappointing in that it was so hurried and thoughtless for the reader.

Cut this novel in half and it could be great
Surprisingly enough it wasn't the farfetched idea of these two finding each other again that bothered me the most, but that you could cut this novel in half for all the repetition it contained. From repeating phrases to scenarios (several times within the same paragraph) the author definitely got his point across, painfully. I was relieved to be finished reading this novel by the end. The author wrote so vaguely that I was often going back to re-read certain sections in case I misinterpreted things. It was extremely campy at times and if it wasn't for the awkwardly incorporated suspense it wouldn't have been a page turner at all. This would have probably worked much better as a short story.

Not what I had hoped.
The main theme, and reason for the title of the book, has merit. However there are far too many diversions from the theme. It was as if Mr. Mooney wanted to write three or four books instead of one. The reality of a love story over a long span of time would more than likely pan out with an adjustment or two in a life style, but I cannot imagine the number of major problems presented in this book. This plot was a bit unbelievable. Descriptive passages were well written and allowed the reader to visualize easily. I was disappointed in the misspelled or misplaced words, as well as the missing ones. The editing was not well done at all.Keep trying Mr. Mooney, bet you will make it.

Great Story
I would have given this story 5 stars had it not had such a quick ending. The beginning was a little slow for me,but it soon picked up, and held my attention throughout the rest of the book. I couldn't put it down. So many twists and turns had me always on the edge of my seat. I think the author could have added much more to the ending. I was left confused and feeling a bit ripped off. Great love story!

Sweet love story
I had a hard time putting this book down. I did find quite a few editing mistakes but assumed it was due to the digital conversion. I was disturbed by the ending. I feel like it was missing a chapter and kept rereading to see if I missed something. How did Ravenna survive the storm? I will read the next novel and hope I won't be disappointed.

A trip to the Greek Islands
I found this book really interesting plus it took me to a place that I had never thought of before and the story continued on with a love story that I found very appealing plus riveting as far as you wondered if the two people would ever get back on the same page. For me, I loved it....Katy

A Second Chance
The book A second Chance is about two childhood friends, Jack and Reveena, who were great friends but move away from each other. Now as they meet on the small island of Petros, they get a "second chance " to fall in love again. This book is perfect for a quick summer romance read and i absolutely love the two characters together. Bryan Mooney writes with such raw material that it makes you smile, cry and laugh all throughout the book. This book is such a page turner as every chapter you want more. This is a delightful read and the setting is incredible. You should definitely pick this book up.

A Second Chance
The story line is enjoyable. A light read for the depth that the author seems to be going for. The moments when I would have normally found myself building the images in my mind of the story, I felt as though I was cut short. The details and emotion lacked depth. An enjoyable read regardless, hopeless romantics will like this.

rubbish.
This was one of the worst books I have come across in a long time. After reading the other novels based on the greek islands . This was just a load of rubbish . There was no continuity in the story at all.it jumped here and there , with no explanations at all. This man needs help if he wants to continue as an author. .org
