Salt Away Gallon + Mixer (6oz/177mL capacity)

Salt away is a great product. That being said, the mixer failed about a year later. Just sprung a leak. Now totally useless. Quite disappointing.

I will always use Salt Away. I have tried other brands, but if you read the fine print on "Brand X", it is not environmentally friendly, in fact it contains carcinogens!! Yes, carcinogens that can get down into the water supply! Not good. Salt Away works well, and I like that it's environmentally friendly. Also I like that they updated their mixer/dispenser to a different plastic. My old one cracked after being out in the sun, but this new one seems tougher. This is a nice product!

This is a great product. I use it by the gallons. Last order was for a gallon and a new dispenser. $95. Not bad at allExcept I didn’t get the gallon. Only the dispenser. Waiting to see what the seller and amazon do to make this right.

I'm giving salt away a try after I read the Ohio DOT report on deicer use and the cost/benefit analysis of maintenance. It's s easy enough to setup and wash down the undercarriage of my vehicals after roadways are clear of salt or brine from winter weather events.The mixing unit doesn't seem as fragile as others reported. I made sure the mixer was well supported when I attached it to my power washer to clean up after the spring thaw.
