These are good and I highly recommend them
I have quite a bit of experience with this type of coupling. These are reasonably priced and equal in quality to the ones that cost 3x as much. It is important to understand how these make a seal. The washer has a lip that touches the inserted nipple. It's that simple. In many cases, if you insert the washer upside down, the sealing lip does not contact the nipple and, of course, it shoots water everywhere. I don't like the kind of coupling that has any plastic like a collar or other useless decoration. Sure, it looks nice, but in a year or two that plastic will crack and fall off. Why deal with that? I further do not like the type that has an o-ring around the nipple. Again, in a year or two, that o-ring will likewise split and need to be replaced. Stay clear of those unless you enjoy finding odd sizes of o-rings in a hardware store to repair the fitting. I see that some reviewers have had all kinds of trouble, especially with the washers. Frankly, I don't get it. I have these devices fitted to sprinklers, sprayers, hose nozzles, etc. All different brands and types. I have had no problem at all. When I attach the fitting to the hose and device, the only "trick" I use it to final tighten them with a pair of pliers. Don't go crazy with excessive force. Just turn until you feel the gasket is compressed enough to make a seal. Every couple of years I check all the washers because they do rot over time. Replace them as needed and these couplings will last and last. Finally, lets get it straight about the washer inside that seems to cause so much confusion. First, no washer = no seal. You have to have the washer. It has to be the special washer. The narrow opening goes away from the hose. This thin edge is what makes the seal. Take a coupling set that is not yet installed. Look inside at the washer as you make the connection. You can see how the washer seals around the edge of the nipple. Some may think the seal is made around the sides of the nipple. It isn't. The seal is only made along the edge at the end of nipple. Make sure you have no extra washers installed. You only need this one washer. Well, good luck. I love these fittings and hope you have as good luck as I have had.

I love these things!
Very very happy with this purchase. I was pretty hesitant buying these, wholey expected them to leak, drip, whatever, but nope, they have kept everything running perfectly even when I change from sprinklers to hand held hose nozzles. I like the fact that there are 6 connectors, I'm able to add them to different items that I can interchange as needed. Exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy, doesn't leak, and enough to cover the items I need.

great quick disconnects for your hoses
These feel very well made, and seal very well. They appear to solid brass; I don't think they are plated. The key to using this type of fitting is not to crank the female end down as tight as you can. The washer in the female unit serves a dual-purpose, sealing both the female to the hose fitting, and sealing the male to the female when you click it in place. If it is cranked down too tight, you won't be able to get the male to lock in.I found it is compatible with other fittings of this design, in case you have others on hand. It definitely allows for greater water flow than the cheaper quick-connect fittings.About the only draw-back is the machining to grip. It's pretty effective, even when wet, but some of the ones with the rubberized grips are a bit easier to use (I don't know how long those rubberized grips will last though). This is a great set - if you have multiple attachments you use with your hose (sprayers, different nozzles, sprinklers, etc), a kit with three female and six male pieces should be adequate. It also comes with some spare washers in case you need to swap one out.

Work great... but the shut off mechanism is both a weakness and a strength
Overall, these are great -- they form nice seals, don't leak, and generally easy to connect to each other. The male-ends of these have a small valve that prevents water flow when not attached to the other half of the connection. This is unexpected -- I didn't notice this feature mentioned in the product description. But it's both a positive and a negative:Positive: It's nice to stop water flow when switching between connections.Negative: The pressure that builds up behind the male connector makes attaching the female end more difficult (which may be problematic for someone with weaker hand strength), and sometimes when you connect the two the built-up pressure is released as a sudden spray of water at the junction. Plus, to use the hose as a open flow point requires removing the male end. This is why I downgraded the 'overall' and 'ease of use' ratings to 4 stars. [BTW, I should note that the other brass connectors set that I bought years ago didn't have this valve, and I never thought that was a problem... so perhaps the valve 'fixed a problem that didn't really exist'?]

Very high-quality
These are very high-quality adapters for your hose that allow you to change, sprinkler heads or spray heads very easily. I had another brand that was hard to connect and disconnect, this one is incredibly easy and well built

These are great! Super Fast!
These are great, along with a shut off valve since these are a through hole.. not a problem. I have this on various attatchments, I have some on my spickets and one even on my pressure washer.. the time to connect and disconnect from one to the other is so easy and super quick and no leaks.Very pleased and if I get more attatchments they will be fitted with these as well.

Work Fine - Great Price
I have used many of these fittings from multiple manufacturers. It has made life for us around the yard so much better to quickly switch out hoses and attachments.I use many more of the male nipples but most are sold in female-male pairs. That is why I went with this supplier.I tested one of these male nipples with the Dixon brand coupler and it seals excellently, not one drip.
