Accurate-small-easy setup
Super easy to set up and operate. I like that you can adjust the brightness to your comfort level. It is very small, very light, and a low profile on the dash. The readout is easy to see if displaying only a couple of the features, if displaying multiple readouts it gets harder to see all the info , I have it placed up close to the windshield so if you like it closer the readout would be easier to see. I had a different size tires installed and wanted to check the accuracy of my dash speedo. The speed readout is super fast, I picked up 17 satellites (wow) and the accuracy is excellent. Would have been a plus if the kit had included mini usb to type a usb but it only has mini usb to cigarette lighter plug. Very happy with this purchase so far. There are several kits available for hard wire install on Amazon if you looking for that pro install look.

Works perfectly. A little on the smallish side.
I love how this HUD works! I find that all of the features work perfectly. The GPS connects within a couple of minutes and begins tracking your speed. I checked the speed against my speedometer and my mobile phone, and it’s spot on.One thing worth noting about the GPS is that it does take a couple of minutes to acquire the signal and begin tracking Distance. However, the Trip Time begins counting as soon as the device is turned on. That just means that there is a 2-3 minute discrepancy between your travel time and travel distance. I suppose on long distances it might not matter, but on short runs it could be a problem.Just about every display is customizable. You can select what data you want shown and from the settings menu, you can select the three colors you want displayed on the data screens. The only one I haven’t been able to fully customize is the screen that is split into 6. I can customize the top row but not the bottom two.The time on mine set itself automatically and all I needed to do was add the 1 hour offset for DST. The voltage is correct, and the Altitude concurs with what my Garmin GPS shows. My favorite feature is that even when plugged into an always-on outlet, the device can tell when there is a drop in voltage (from alternator to battery), and automatically turn itself off. You can set how much time to wait before that happens. One thing I don’t understand is why it comes preset with an additional offset for speed @ 107% and additional 3mph offset. I found I had no need for that as it tracks perfectly when set to 100%. That and every other setting is controlled by either pushing or sliding the control switch on the back. There is also a small photocell on the back that I guess is meant to control the auto-dimming feature, but honestly, I can’t say I’ve noticed it get any dimmer or brighter under different lighting conditions. The only downside is that the display itself is quite small. I don’t know if it’s just my dashboard or if it will be the same for others, but when I place it near my windshield in the optimum position for my line of sight, it’s actually very small unless I’m just using the first screen which has only Speed in very large letters. All in all though, I really like it and I will continue to play with different placements until it feels just right. Once that’s done, I’ll probably hide the wire and wire it directly into my fuse box.

Works great
The media could not be loaded. Plug and play, works great. Works much better and is more accurate than an app on your smartphone. Very accurate, it is within a couple of mph of my dash odometer which is perfect in order to avoid trouble with the police. You can set one alarm and if you go over that speed limit it will beep about 2-3Seconds to alert you. I highly recommend. I leave it plugged up as my cigarette lighter has no power when the car is off, check your car and unplug or get a switch to turn it off if your power does not shut off.

ExcellentReplacement
After spending over $600 dollars chasing down the bugs in my Toyota Camry speedometer I purchased the digital gps hud. This is all I needed. End of story.... wish I had thought of buying one earlier.

For a GPS, the accuracy's just not quite there.
This unit has some compelling features. For example, for me, its size and the ability to mount it on the top of the dash right near the windshield makes it (almost) the ideal solution. Unfortunately, it's accuracy leaves me scratching my head.As others have mentioned in their reviews, initially the readings compared to 2 other GPS's was pretty far out. No problem, sez I, I'll just adjust the setting in the menu and that will be that. Not Quite.I spent a fair amount of time doing the adjustment, and yes, I was able to adjust it to exactly match the other 2 GPS's at highway speed (60 -70 MPH), but it was off at low speed. So I readjusted it at low speed to exactly match. Again, perfect speed match at 25 MPH, but off at 70 MPH. The bizarre thing is, it can be too HIGH at high speed and too LOW at low speed! Or, too LOW at high speed and too HIGH at low speed, depending on how you adjust it. Really weird. The best i can do after way too much time playing with it and fudging the adjustment at one end or the other is good accuracy at 70 MPH, and off by about 1 MPH at 25. (Or the other way around). The "turnover" point is somewhere between 40 and 50 MPH - above that the error is in one direction, below that it's in the other. Now, normally I wouldn't make a big deal out of an error of 1 MPH. However, this thing's supposed to be driven be a GPS device, and at a constant speed they just aren't normally consistently off in one particular direction (or change the direction of error at some point).I recently threw together a GPS display using a Wemo D1 Mini, a GPS module and a small display, and never saw errors like this unit has. (In the first place, there was NEVER any need to create a method to fudge the speed display, because the speed from the GPS module is a given - unless you're not tracking enough satellites, or there is multipath or a weak signal, the speed is the speed, and you don't have to compensate for anything in the unit.)So, I don't really have a clue why the speed error is there, but I'm wondering if it has to do with rounding errors in the display routine - instead of rounding to the nearest MPH perhaps they're truncating the number - who knows?Anyway, as I said, its a compelling item. I just wish I could believe the displayed speed a little more.
