SingStar Vol. 2 with microphone - Playstation 3

The game is lots of fun and I love it. I actually bought it to use it with foreign language students. The store has mostly european songs minus russia. The song catalog is nowhere near the size of the european one, but it's pretty good. It also took us a bit of time to figure out where the purchased songs went. Apparently it's a 2 step process. first you buy then song then you need to go back and download it under the game menu for the online store, the one right before you start viewing the songs.

This Singstar is a nice karaoke game with a slick interface and actual music videos of the artists (which, really, is much nicer than watching generic animated characters perform the songs).At the end of the day though, there's nothing that really separates this iteration of the series from previous Singstar or Karaoke Revolution games. The microphones included work well (though, they are wired, which is important to know...and you have to use the proprietary Singstar mics).If you want a karaoke game for the PS3, this is as good a starter option as the original SingStar Bundle, though this volume has some boosted online capabilities (e.g., Remote Play functionality), if that matters to you. Really, if you are trying to decide between Volume 1 & 2, I'd look at the songl ists, as those differences are the only major differences.One gripe that I have is with the online Singstore (where you can buy and download more songs for the game) The selection in the Singstore is decidedly European in taste (lots of songs that were hits in Europe or internationally; songs that were only big in the US are generally missing). Also, the US Singstore doesn't seem very well supported, with only infrequent updates (especially compared with the Rock Band equivalent). Nevertheless, we've bought several songs from the store, and we've enjoyed having the option to add to our collection (though this is a pretty standard feature in music games these days).Overall, Singstar is a fun party game that makes for enjoyable karaoke and doesn't require keeping a pile of absurd plastic musical instruments in your living room.

Microphone works great....the game wasn't included and it doesn't say that it's not in the description of the purchase. Not pleased.

and the prices of getting new ones is pretty insane and the selection is mostly pop crap. I guess if you like pop music then this is for you.

It's a fun game. But doesn't have the longevity. Not a HUGE selection of songs. Don't expect to be playing it for weeks. But it comes in handy at parties. VERY impressed by the delivery speed by amazon

Im a singstar fan , and this was a replacement of a lost disk. Delivery was quick and came perfectly sealed.Microphones are still working months later. Sorry for not having much to say,ive done this review before. As for the game itself.. its fun with FRIENDS! kids or adults. For me, the enjoyment comes from the disk swapping and downloadable content. You can pass the mic or play solo even random song play. great many days at my house after a few drinks with friends :)

We had lots of fun playing this. My husband and I and our 2 girls, ages 10 and 3. I am very anxious to find more of the singstar games now. You sing along to a video of the song. This disc has a great variety from Mamas and Papas California Dreamin to Offspring Pretty Fly for a White Guy and some other newer songs I didn't know.

This game has some great songs. For instance, "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)" by Aerosmith, oldie "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John and Kiki Dee, even "Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc but it is a tad touchy with your voice. You have to sound a bit like the original artists to get a really high score. But the fact remains it is a real blast!!! I guess some may not like the variety of styles the songs have but this to me is its appeal.
