SpeidelStainless Steel Twist-O-Flex Expansion Watchband Compatible with 18-22mm Watches

Good fit. Great substitute for original

I upgraded to this watchband from an adjustable braided elastic one. Compared to that one, the Spiedel is definitely nicer looking, easily as comfortable, and a lot less likely to pick up dirt. I remember that my mom had a similar watchband when I was a kid, and I remember it pinching my skin when I played with it. This one hasn't pinched me.Of course, it's also much more difficult to install and adjust than the elastic one. However, I managed to do it without too much trouble. I watched a video on how to do it, and it's pretty straightforward if you're a bit mechanically inclined and have good dexterity. You can see a slightly larger gap between two links where I removed two. It annoys me only slightly. 🙂 I'm sure a jeweler could do it more perfectly.It had not occurred to me that it wouldn't come with watch pins. It makes sense, since it fits a range of pin sizes, but I thought I'd point it out in case that detail escaped anyone else. I easily found some that worked well.I'm using it with a Galaxy Watch 5, in the 40mm size, for reference.

When trying to install on my Casio Watch the pins and watch band were extremely hard to install. The actual ends of the watch were more than the advertised width of 18mm. Even when fully collapsed the width was wider than 18 mm. Had to file down the actual movable pieces that fit into the watch to get them to go in place. Took me more than an hour to file them down as they are movable and would not file easily. Actually measured the end of the watch band and they were wider than the minimum size advertised. Seem to me aa little better QA should have taken place at the factory.

I had my first Speidel Timex when I was working through High School. Best watch and watch band I ever had. Today, Speidel is no different with high quality, stainless steel Twist-O-Flex watch bands. I personally can't were leather or rubber watch bands very well. So I switch to Speidel with there different styles and love the results (see photos). The only caution I have is being able to take links, tiny clips out without noticeable damage to watch bands. I'm pretty good with my hands when it comes to tiny clips and links so I'm fortunate. However, if you know you can't do this kind of adjustment, than by all means take it to a watch jeweler so it will look nice on your watch. I highly recommend Speidel Watch Bands. I just very glad they still make them.

I really like the look of this watch band. attaching it to my watch was easy but there were no pins included. I used the old ones. The problem was the length was a little long. About 5 links needed to be removed. I am highly mechanically inclined and have all kinds of tools and magnifiers for delicate jobs like these. The problem is you have to bend and rebend many watch tabs. Then you have to pull out these tiny clips that are really difficult to see and deal with. After several hours I was able to get the whole thing back together but not without very visible damage to the links. Unfortunately, now I don't trust whether it may fall off somewhere. Buy it for the looks and comfort but take it to a watch repair guy to size it for you. I have revised my review to a 1 star based on the really bad resizing design. Although after hours of trying to get this band reconnected to itself, it fell apart at the connection after 1 day. I'm not saying a skilled watch maker couldn't do it. I imagine many could. I just would never try this at home again. I ordered a leather band. I really did love the flexibility of this band. It just didn't work for me.

Works great with the new watch . Very comfortable.

Looks and feels great on a 7 to 8 1/2 wrist.
