I use pens constantly throughout my workday for notes, paperwork, signing documents, and marking things that come across my desk. I've never been a big fan of really fine-point pens. I like my writing dark, bold, and easy to read, which is why the 1.0mm point on these uni-ball Signo 207 Impact pens works so well for me. The gel ink goes down smoothly without me having to press hard on the paper. The black is also nice and dark, so my handwriting stands out whether I'm taking quick notes during a conversation or signing something that needs to be filed. I also appreciate the comfortable grip. That might not matter if you only pick up a pen once or twice a day, but when I'm writing throughout the day, I notice the difference. Another plus is the archival-quality, acid-free ink, especially for documents or notes that I may need to keep. The four-pack is convenient, although pens have a mysterious way of disappearing from my desk, so I'm not expecting all four to remain together for very long. A pen doesn't need a bunch of features to impress me. Give me a comfortable grip, smooth ink, and a bold black line every time I put it to paper. These do exactly that.

These pens are a joy to write with. The ink seems to flow along and makes your writing easier. One very minor complaint is you have to remove the cap in order to write and after so many years of retractable pens it takes a bit of getting used to.
