Works well in my stereo boombox (Please read update)
Bought this for my boombox, as it doesn’t have an audio input. It only plays out of one speaker as the head doesn’t align properly. For this purpose, it is a waste of money. Update: Since my last review, Reshow has sent me an updated version of their adapter, so I tested the new product in several cassette players as well as a car stereo. Results were lacking in the home decks, and my pioneer deck refused to recognize that it was there and didn’t play for more than a few seconds. However, tests in other decks mainly came down to the wire itself, it would jam in the door, which would keep the heads out of line, making the sound stronger in one speaker than the other. That problem, however, is much less present in the new version, but I still wouldn’t use this in a home deck. I later tested the adapter in my JVC car stereo, and it worked much better. I compared a song by Anders Enger Jenson on a real cassette to the same song on this device. The adapter had sharper trebles than the type 1 cassette, which is to be expected, but otherwise the two sounded very similar. I could only really test one of the stereo channels (I think my player is broken slightly), but I could hear much more from the other channel on the adapter than on the original cassette. I’m not sure if this is a mono device or if the heads were misaligned with the adapter as they were with my home decks, but what I could hear had pretty good sound quality (picture of my setup to give you an idea of how I tested the device). Overall, my original review was for a purpose this product was not necessarily designed for. Don’t use this for your home or personal decks, but for a car stereo it is acceptable. If I find a better way to test this product I will, but for now it gets four stars. Update 2: Tested this product further in my boombox, and it is definitely in stereo. It also lines up well with the play head inside, despite the wire sticking out of the door. It sounds great with little noise from the gears to top it off. This product gets five stars, and I would recommend it to someone looking to add an aux plug to their car or boombox but not for a quality home deck.

Might be used....
I only removed one star because I have one of these made by philips that I used for probably 2 or 3 years and it still looks newer than this one I just bought. 2 of the screws on this had rust, and the head for reading to the tape deck had part of the black marking worn off and all the metal in general looked like it had been rubbed on for like ten times as many years as my already used one. It looked extremely well used/refurbished. I was not really expecting it to work due to it's condition, but once I turned the cord so it could fit in my deck and plugged it in, it turned out the sound quality was actually very good. I don't believe it plays in stereo, so you lose some of that experience. But I don't have to turn the stereo's speakers up all the way to hear it like some of the cheaper ones, there is really not that much static at all, and the build of the auxiliary connector looks pretty durable. It's annoying when the wires come loose there. Just be careful if you have to flip your cord too; only remove the bottom two screws and carefully lift the panel just enough to tuck the wire in it's spot. If you remove all the screws and a whole side it takes much longer to get all the parts that come loose back together. Edit: I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5. I've been using it for a couple months now and it works excellent. I don't care about the look of the metal so much I guess. Also, the seller went out of their way to send a very considerate letter concerning the purchase and wanting me to be happy, and they included an 18k gold plated leaf bookmark that was probably worth as much as the adapter lol. Kind of weirdly generous and way overly concerned about the customers satisfaction. Interesting company.

Great product...very delicate
The tape isint botheringly loud. Its pretty quiet and doesent disturb while driving or the music itself. The aux cord is comfotably long maybe as long as an arm. The music sounds great and the unit does really work for a car that doesent originally have an aux or bluetooth. Although i used this for about a month and it seems to be that you need to be very delicate woth the wire and not just toss it to the side when your done with it becuase my cord messed up and now i have to keep the cord at a certain position in order to listen to my music. Even at that it stills frays the sound quality. I would like to trade mine for a new one if possible. Other then that the unit is a great buy and would highly reccomend.

Great Product and Great Customer Service
In today's modern day era of mp3, Pandora, Amazon Music, Spotify, etc, you have to have someway in your car to listen to these venue's. If your car is an older year, with no CD player or bluetooth connection, and only has an older cassette player, it's hard to use your iphone for listening to the above mentioned media players. This cassette adapter made it possible to do just that. Very good construction, very sturdy, great audio, no clicks or pops. I had one from years ago that finally gave out and thought for sure that was it for me and being able to hear my music via iphone through the car. I went on Amazon and search quite a few of these adapters. This one has the best rating and review, plus a great price. Had it for about a month and it works great. The seller actually sent us a very nice letter asking if we were satisfied with our product and if we would kindly write a review as they are fairly new in the market. I am glad to do so. Thank you Reshow Team. Appreciate your sincere letter and follow up. Much appreciated.

Absolute bargain
This is the 3rd cassette to aux product I’ve tested. And by far my favorite. I’ve had it for several days. And I have had relatively no issues. The product feels cheap. But that’s what you get for $14. However. The sound quality is far superior to the other brands I’ve tried. Crystal clear with great bass. And it doesn’t clip at high notes. Yes the tape makes noise while it’s in the player. But unless you plan of listening to your music on the lowest volume setting. You won’t hear it. There is one major issue with this product. I have an iPhone that doesn’t have a headphone jack so I use the Apple headphone extension. I’m not sure if it’s because of this but your sound will get distorted if you disturb the cord often while driving. It’s rather annoying and sometimes you have to find the right spot to keep it like a bad phone charger. But otherwise it works fine. 2 month update: product works perfectly. This is an absolute deal. By far the best cassette adapter for the money

I didn't know what to expect since few companies make these
This product has served me well for the duration of the past few months, my only problems arising from the jack being so finicky, causing the audio to make scratchy, staticy noises when it's being adjusted while plugged into my phone or to just be "unplugged" (any minor inconvenience to it's position in the headphone jack-in causes my phone to deem it as unplugged). Unfortunately, I'm never in my car long enough to enjoy the soundtrack to my otherwise joyless excursions to the local Wally World so it's seen little use. Sadly, the other day while heading out to obtain groceries, my phone fell from my lap and was sent flying onto the floorboards of my car, which damaged the jack. Now, the music sounds tinny, as if the vocals were recorded in a trash can that was in a shower stall and being broadcast over an AM band. Great company though, they appreciate their consumers but I'm not sure I'll be in the market for another adapter for at least another month since I never have reason to be in my car for any longer than 10 minutes. *I bought another one after the unfortunate "suicide" of my last one and this new one came in ever slicker packaging than the last one and the sound is great - my only suggestion is that you keep the volume on your car lower and adjust the volume on your portable audio player. I should've went with ReShow the last time I bought an adapter but live and learn, eh? **I rarely have the time to listen to music in my car as I only drive a few blocks to work or to the store but my chief complaint is how finicky the jack and cord can be, as I constantly have to adjust it back in the port to get the audio playing through my speakers. Let's just say that it's rather hard to do that while you're on the move. Other than that, it is a great product and it serves it's customer base well.

Works with all cassette players we used , with one little problem
First off let me say that we own I think 3 of these, went ahead and got more to go in every car we have. So the clicking sound seems as though it goes from barely able to hear to pretty noticeable (only when no sound is on can you notice), depending on your car stereo. In our Toyota I can't hear it but in Jeep and Explorer you will hear a slight clicking sound that comes from the spindles that turn a real cassette tape and because these HAVE to turn otherwise it would ruin any internal belts of the player itself don't know if it can be helped. If you want to hear what I"m talking about, just grab any old cassette tape and shake it a little that is the sound you will hear, like I said you will only notice if pretty quite in the car. As far as noise, none of our stereos has any hiss or popping and plays very clean with all phones (with a jack still) we have used, three different brands.

Update: Seller replaced unit with new version* Old-Worked great... for 10 minutes.
Update: The ReShow sellers have got in touch with me regarding the earlier review, stating that they were sorry for the delay in attempting to remedy the situation and provided a new, improved version of the adapter, so I will provide a new review based on that. First, I appreciated the response, as it was not expected. It was very nice, came with a 2 page hand written letter (or the best fake font I have ever seen which I doubt given paper marks) and I enjoyed the chinese folding solid screen a lot. Second, onto the new adapter. So I noticed the aux connector is now a more generic, black section, devoid of the old silver shaped one with "ReShow" written on it. It does appear to hold a better connection overall, although only slightly and I did still have issues fully getting bass to work correctly, playing with the end, like last time, somewhat fixes it. Not to even mention the horrible white noise you will get at all volumes, getting worse with higher volume. Unfortunately I couldnt stand the issues anymore and actually bought a aftermarket headunit. I appreciate the customer service trying to improve and fix the issue however. So the first test was amazing for a couple of minutes, not moving, etc. Drive the car the following day.. and its cutting in and out here and there and activating google assistant, and sometimes producing a high pitch noise. Now its constant for the 3 or 4 times ive used it, cutting in and out and producing horrible sound quality. Playing with the aux end produces mixed results, sometimes fixing it for a few moments, othertimes completely screwing it up. I will have to purchase a better quality one sadly, avoid this however.
