LEUCHTTURM1917 - Some Lines A Day - 5 Year Memory Notebook - Hardcover Journal 366 Pages for 5 Years of Entries (Black)

This is actually my second time purchasing this. The first time, I didn’t commit fully and it’s been a while so I just wanted a fresh start. Other than because of the brand, I love this diary because it fits best for my type of journaling. It’s a nice size, not too big but not too small so it’s easy to reach for everyday use. Other five year diaries are typically smaller and since I write 5-7 lines every day, it just didn’t fit my standard. It’s also nice how there’s no lines, just a blank space so you can write little or a lot depending on the day. I also like adding stickers, drawings, and such to fill up the space. The back pocket is good to keep tickets, pamphlets, etc. The only con I see for this diary is how thin the pages are. It’s slightly thinner than regular printer paper so pen will definitely bleed through. Personally, I like using pencil so it’s not an issue for me. However, despite it being thin, it feels very durable. I am certain that the pages and binding will stay good throughout the years. (Also, this color is amazing as well, I absolutely love!😉)

Folks, Buy this. If you have had other ‘one line a day’ books then THIS is everything you wanted those to be but weren’t. This is ‘some lines a day’ - meaning: actually enough of a space to articulate a small thought. Or anecdote. Proportionally improved also in that it isn’t toooo thick for the size of the page and can therefore actually open and lay flat. Excellent paper. And the elastic strap means you can put your pen in it. Absolutely worth the extra few dollars. (Especially if you love the other leuchtturm products.) I set it in the window in my bathroom. (Since I am in the every day at least a few times).

This is a niche product, for sure, but for someone interested in recording glimpses of their life into one book for easy comparison, this is it! The paper is the standard array for this company; very smooth, very nice, friendly to all writing implements, but just a hair thin. Some inks can leave a faint ghosting. Each entry big enough for a good paragraph, plenty of room to summarize your day. The book is rather thick due to the need to have so many pages, and the cover feels stronger than other Leuchtturm1917 journals. It feels like it should last the five years pretty easily. I'm not so sure about the elastic, but only time will tell. Like other journals by this company, there's a sheet of labels in the back pocket that you can use when archiving the book. I very nice book for an interesting project.

My sister gave me this journal 5 years ago. I didn't write in it much, but when the 5 years was over I looked through it and was so glad I had recorded the little bit that I had. It was important enough to me that I wanted to do it again. I looked around at other journal options using the same format. Ultimately I came back to this journal. The journal is not too big or too small. There's enough space to write something each day- compared with the other options I saw on Amazon and Etsy. I was looking around for other options because I do think this is on the pricey side. I hope they can bring the price down. : ) With all that, this was still worth it for me to record my memories and some of my feelings during the year. If the price was lowered, I would give this at my "Favorite Things Party" (which has a lower price point).

These notebooks are top-notch, so it follows that their special journal "Some Lines a Day" -- a 5-year journal/diary is also good quality. Well-made with smooth paper that is a pleasure to write on -- sewn bindings; ribbons, etc. It may seem like there is not much space per "year;" however, after several days of starting this one, I have to say I have had enough room to write just what is promised -- "some lines a day." My handwriting is not exceptionally tiny, either. Recommended!

Unfortunate, because everything else about this journal was so gorgeous and perfect! — UPDATE — 4.5 stars & it got me coming back! Y’all. I searched everywhere for a Lines a Day 5 year journal that was as gorgeous and well-made as this one. I found nothing. So I ended up purchasing this item again. This time knowing the paper is thin, I am writing only with pencil and I am careful to not press down too hard. This really is well made and it just looks so sophisticated compared to similar items. I just wish they would make the paper thicker! Here’s hoping they change the paper by the time I purchase my next journal in 5 years.

I have been using this journal since 2021 and it still looks great! The cover and the binding are holding up well. The pages are a light ivory color which is pleasing to the eye and each section is about 1 7/8". It is small enough (A5) that I can keep on my desk, so I don't forget to use it. I use this to record the temperature and weather, significant news events, a memory from the day like weddings, births, funerals, home projects we are working on, a quote, or just a synopsis of the day. The spacing allows for me to write 3-5 sentences to summarize or capture the day. I tape concert tickets, souvenir stickers from places we traveled, or pictures to the inside covers and beginning pages. The gusseted pocket in the back is also great to hold cards or keepsakes. It is neat to go back and look at what was happening on that same day in a different year. I alternate between blue and black ink each year to help see the distinction between the years. I don't have any kids, but it would be great to capture events of children growing up - funny moments or significant milestones. I will definitely buy another one when I finish this one in 2025!

Been using for over a year - perfect for someone who doesn't have the discipline to diary, but who wants to journal the important events over the years. Paper works well for fountain pens - you may need a blotter for some inks

I have never been the kind of person to keep a diary as I know I wouldn't keep up with writing in it everyday. When I came across this particular diary, it was ideal as I wouldn't feel obliged to write a lot and just summarise in the space provided. The idea of being able to look back on the past 5 years worth of life events really appeals to me and what better way to document this than in a great quality diary that will last for years to come!

Uso questa agenda da più di un anno: apprezzo molto la qualità della carta, e il fatto che ci sia abbastanza spazio bianvo per scrivere poche righe ogni giorno, o anche per fare un piccolo disegno... Leggere quello che ho vissuto e provato un anno fa è qualcosa di molto importante per me: mantiene vivo il ricordo, mi insegna a scegliere poche parole essenziali, mi fa prendere consapevolezza dei piccoli grandi cambiamenti della mia vita. Consigliatissimo, anche come regalo.

Some lines es que, como te despistes, te fundes el espacio con dos, pero, para llevar un registro anti-obsesivoide está bien. Igual un culín más de espacio no le venía mal, también os digo.
