Burton Tinder Backpack with Padded Laptop Compartment

This backpack is great. It’s a perfect size for pretty much whatever you need to use it for. I use it for travel and school and it works super well. This backpack is not only super functional, it also looks really really good, and stylish. I’d recommend this backpack to anyone, it is more than worth the price. Overview: This backpack has a medium sized pocket on the top which comes in handy, it also has a mesh pocket on the inside, a padded laptop sleeve, and another sleeve like thing that you could use for books or paperwork (or anything you can really fit inside of it). In all, I’d highly recommend this backpack to anyone.

This is a very high quality backpack. It's much larger than you think it is. I could easily fit a ton of things in this bag. I only keep a 1-inch binder and a notebook in it as of right now, and it's flat. I could fit much more in it if I wanted. It's also got a zipper on the outside of the laptop pouch, so you can take your laptop out without having to open the entire bag. It also has a lot of pouches inside that I didn't know it had when I ordered it. It feels very durable. It's lightweight, but the materials and the construction are obviously high quality when you feel them. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone.

I really like this backpack. It fits me well and feels very comfortable when I wear it. Weight is distributed evenly and doesn't leave me with back discomfort when wearing it. I bought this to replace another backpack that failed for school. As far as cons, well I feel this is a perfect bag for a weekend getaway or daily outings. But using this for school, I'd recommend getting a different bag that has more exterior zippers and pouches. It's a hassle constantly opening and closing it for little things. I'm almost done with university so I will get by with this until I graduate. But I'm definitely keeping it for overnight trips and hiking. It is just that comfy and roomy.

This Burton Backpack is great! I love the floral design. It's not too over-the-top and not too subtle either. It's unisex and goes with just about everything. I've gotten so many compliments. I'm in college so it mainly holds my laptop, pens, and some notebooks/textbooks, but even with all that I can still fit so much in here, very roomy. It holds up extremely well and after two months of heavy use still looks and feels brand new. Burton makes amazing bags and luggage and I would definitely recommend!

My 4-star rating is for the pack itself. IMHO, the product I received, based on features and price, is between 3 and 4 but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I would give Amazon one star because its listing is misleading. Once again, as so many customers have complained about so many other product listings, Amazon mixes together different models under a single listing. Caveat emptor. Two features that appear in the default description for this listing motivated me to purchase the pack. First, it seemed to have just the right number of straps to be useful. Specifically, it has a sternum strap but does not have a superfluity of other straps that just get in the way for someone (like me) who plans to use this as an urban pack. I already have other packs with all manner of straps and load bearing features for hiking in rural or wilderness settings. Those features tend to get in the way when I am using transit and especially when I am using a pack for grocery shopping. The multiple straps on the day pack I was using kept getting caught in the shopping cart and it was tedious to extract them so I could pack my groceries home. This pack doesn't do that. It will become my default grocery shopping bag and that is why I'm giving it 4 stars. The second feature listed but missing from the product received is that it has a laptop pocket with BOTH internal and external access. This was the killer feature I was hoping to get. I suspect it only comes with the higher priced models in this listing but again, all the models are lumped together. The pack seems well made, reasonably light and likely to be durable. It is minimalist in its approach to zippers and straps; on other packs, these are often a cource of problems. I'm sure I'll be using this pack. I just wish it offered quick access to the tablet that I carry much of the time. Too often, I have to dig through the main compartment every time I want to access the tablet, and I had anticipated that this pack would solve that issue.

Love this backpack because it is very sleek and understated. There is very little obvious branding on it, even the Burton logo on the top is black and muted. The only standout is a small bar across the left strap that has Burton written in white letters, but this could easily be snipped off. The pack is a very good size, you won't fit a ton of stuff in here and would be difficult to pack for a long weekend, but its perfect for around town or an overnight for me. I love that the straps are kept to a minimal, and the pack has some moderate structuring to it to maintain its sleek lines. It looks good as a city pack. It also has a good number of compartments. The laptop sleeve is well padded, as is the entire bottom of the pack which gives it some form and rigidity. The top pouch is undivided, and this is where I keep the items I need regular access too (headphones, snacks, charger). In front of the laptop sleeve there is a smaller sleeve that is good for sliding in a notebook or magazine and keeping it separate from the stuff floating freely in the back. The laptop pouch is also accessible directly from a zipper down the side, handy when going through TSA. There is also a mesh zippered compartment on the front face of the inside, facing the laptop sleeve and the interior. (See photo, kind of hard to describe) On the whole, there are a lot more compartments than I expected in such a sleek back! The lack of extra webbing and straps means that this bag doesn't expand or compress at all really, but to me this is a plus. I had a northface recon for a long time and go so tired of how cluttered it looked with its myriad zippers and compression straps across the sides and even bottom! I had straps hanging everywhere. Not so with this one, simple but super functional and at a great price.

Bag came exactly as described in the description. Very spacious (25 liters hello), sturdy and most importantly, pretty-looking. I am seriously obsessed with the colour scheme of this bag. At the back, there is a zipper at the side that opens to the laptop compartment. It's padded too; serves as protection for your prized tech possession as well as makes it comfortable for the person carrying the bag around. The fact that there's a separate zipper to access your laptop from the side makes it super convenient because you don't have to go through the top and dig past all the other things that you've packed. There are 2 drawstrings to go through to access bag from the top, a bit of a hassle if you ask me, but I can live with it because it kind of helps to protect my belongings inside from the elements outside. It also prevents anything from falling out if the bag were to accidentally topple over. The material inside is made out of something that is water-resistant. So you can be sure that your things would be kept dry should you find yourself caught in the rain without much 'protection'. However, that can't be said about the outside of the bag, as it is made from some sort of canvas. Would've been nice tho if every part of the bag was made out of a water-resistant material. But then again, I guess that would compromise the aesthetics of it all. Overall, very pleased with this bag. Probably more suited for travelling as it is quite big. However, the straps at the front could be adjusted to make the bag slightly smaller and less 'space-obstructive', if that makes any sense. As a bag, the design is practical, functional and at the same time stylish. Would say that it's quite reasonably-priced as well. Definitely a good buy.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my 19 year old son and he LOVES it! Overall it is very well crafted with lots attention to detail, fine stitching, the material feels rugged/durable. It's quite roomy and large inside, somehow holds a LOT while keeping a sleek minimalist profile. We both love the goldenrod color, it's earthy and neutral but really pops with the rich tall accent straps. He's 6 ft tall and it adjusts to fit him perfectly, just right in torso length, looks proportional on.

The quality of the bag is amazing! everything feels like it is stitched together very securely and the material is very resistant to wear and tear. the bag is a little hard to organize because it is a roundish shape but other than that it is a great bag and has a lifetime warranty .

Me encanto la mochila, es de muy buena calidad. El unico pero es que este modelo solo tiene una bolsa exterior y una interior para guardar cosas (sueltas). Sin embargo le doy 5 estrellas porque si estaba especificado en el diseño. La broche que trae enfrente me ayuda mucho con el peso. La adquirí porque siempre ando en moto.
