This wash basket is a great find! We really needed something to hold a good amount of washing and this is exactly what we needed! Capable of holding a good size amount of your daily clothes, towels and bedding. Its quite surprising how much fits in here and looks really nice as well! Easy to build. Would purchase again if needed!

UPDATE! The review below includes a mistake. I thought the lid clipped to the upper wire frame and that is what you see in the video. However I think it intended to clip to the edges of the outer body and while that is not great as the clips show, the result works much more effectively, albeit, yes you still have to lift the lid quite gently.Realising this has raised my star level by one star, but I have decided to bring this to 4 stars because this fixes my worst complaint and otherwise at the price point and in a softer setting than my stark cold whites and. monochrome bathroom, this may work perfectly for you. MY core remaining issue is that the lid like the sides, is so flexible the basket does not work as a bathside table for a cup of tea or whatever. it is just too insubstantial.FIRST IMPRESSIONS were a little bit dampened by the immediate realisation that this is not 'brilliant white' like in the advert and as is most white tiling and fittings within a bathroom, but a warmer cream white that is entirely at odds with my decor. My reason for purchase was that my existing wooden basket was chipped and flaking and beginning to look old and without a repaint, did not give the impression of pristine cleanliness a bathroom demands. This item may work well in a cottage bathroom or laundry room with softer hues but it does not at all in my monochomatic space.ASSEMBLY: was my biggest shock because there barely was any. I had expected the bamboo to be in thick sections and form a robust box, but it is all very thin with the sides all being one roll and the box shape formed by inserting a wire framed fabric base section and a radius cornered rectangular wire hoop at the top. The bag handles can be clipped into the Velcro loops that secure the latter but then it hangs shapeless within and is not a success. There is nothing to make it maintain an open shape, and I know in future I won't even bother with securing it in this way as it makes little difference. The lid also secures to this top wire frame and if allowed to flip fully back and one without care, detaches and falls off - almost every time.FINISH: to me is critical in a bathroom. If something has many indents that can attract grime, it is vital that they are properly finished so that they still look pristine - especially when new. This does not give that impression. There is no grime - the basket has been in my home just days, but I think my painrt chipped original looks better! I will probably just sand that down and respray it, or get another solid wood replacement for it.The bamboo in such slim sections is overly flexible and looks cheap, the finish looks poor, and it with a constantly detaching lid and this bag that is in no way properly supported within - the ease of use prompt I have received as a suggestion while writing this review can only be met with a response 'what ease of use?'From the point of mobility (another prompt) it may score points. It is very, very, light. If I change my mind and retain it. I won't even bother with the bag, I will just pick up the entire basket and carry it to 'my laundry room', (OK, my kitchen and the washing machine - but you get the point!)The size is excellent. A bit big for my small flat, but ideal for a single person washing their laundry every two weeks, or I suspect, with alas no experience, a couple who launder weekly.MY CONCLUSIONS: must be that in a creamy pastel hued cottage this would fit better than in a stark white bathroom where it jars and looks dirty or aged by consequence. In a super modern environment of brilliant whites, it does not work. It is nevertheless very cheap for the volume it contains and is very effective but poorly designed with a lid that falls off and an unresolved bag solution.For me, were I to have had an example to look at, before I bought it, would I still have done so? The answer has to be a no. I am not rich. It was cheap but cost sufficient that it was quite a lot to me, but the items I really liked, made of strong solid wood or even MDF (a stupid material to use in wet environments) but nevertheless 'furniture' were so much more expensive again. Now I still have to buy one of those and bin this thing, so I have spend even more than just buying quality in the first place.

The first parcel went missing, but Amazon quickly offered to replace it or refund. I chose to replace it as I really needed it. It was a bit hard to find where I can report missing, but other than that love my new basket. Easy to assemble and looks very cute with my interior. Thank you.

Aesthetically I find this laundry basket very pleasing. At first I thought it was very floppy UNTIL I clipped the black metal ring around the upper rim. After that it much more sturdy- it was purchased for only one person to use, which is "ok", but I don't think it would last more than a few months in a busy household with youngsters. I think it is overpriced at £30.00 in terms of quality, but NOT in terms of style. We're the wooden slats two or three times the thickness, it would be worth the price! I am keeping it because I love the design and look - plus it's only for me to use. It had a lovely slightly rustic come shabby looks that I love.

Having seen adverts for similar baskets ranging up to £100, we decided to give this much more reasonably priced basket a go. It has generously sized compartments, and is both durable and lightweight - which makes moving it around very easy should you need to. With three organisational pouches of the same size, it helps to keep colours separated very easily - saving the time taken on organising these each wash.

Extremely low quality. It’s very flimsy and loose, and it looks more like a second-hand laundry basket than a new product. I wouldn’t recommend it.
