Works great, hooks up quickly and is a great option for cars without wireless Car Play or Android Auto! It’s an awesome alternative to the larger alternatives before this came out, so small that it takes up virtually no space at all!

Could be five stars, but for one major and potentially catastrophic and damaging (potentially dangerous) flaw. I will caveat that the issue could be related to my 2021 Tundra TRD Pro's Car Play outlet and not the device. I can't be sure which, but I would venture to guess it's not the truck's CP port. Hooked up and performed fast and flawlessly! For my first ever Wireless Car Play connection device I was so amazed and ecstatic! This device was amazing, but especially given its dime size scale! But then while testing I reached to remove and reinstall it and HOLY MACKERAL! It was burn the finger prints off your fingers HOT! after just ten or so minutes. Not knowing what the results would or could be if I continue to use this device for longer, especially to my trucks electrical system should the dongle suffer castrophic failure due to it's scorching heat condition, I can't risk consequences to find out.

Used for a couple of weeks now in 2024 Ioniq 5. Plugged in, paired iPhone 15 pro max, works great. Quick connect, no dropped connections. Had carlinkit 5.0 with occasional dysfunction and dropped CarPlay connections. Price is right and to date well worth the buy!

Great, when it works. Using this on a 2018 Honda Goldwing (my software on the bike and phone have all been updated). this connects most of the time right away with my Pixel 8 Pro (every once in a while I will get a communication error). Once it starts up, it works great, then about 20% of the time I use it, withing 20 minutes it disconnects from my phone stating communication issue. I am aware that wireless Android Auto is not as stable as Apple Car Play but my wifes car has it built in to the vehicle and wireless works every time no matter what so process of elimination, the issue is not my phone. Maybe it is the Goldwing? Well wired Android Auto works perfectly fine (outside of cooking my phone because it loves to fast charge). There is a process to get Apple Car Play or Android Auto (wired or not) to work on the bike but that is not the issue as the wired works 100% of the time. So its not the bike. I have to assume then that this device is not working properly 20% of the time with Android Auto. If there is a way to update the device, I would be willing to try that but I have no idea how to do that. Fix these connection issues and ill change my review to 5 stars and update this post. UPDATE: (Original review 2 stars, changed to 4 for customer service and will update to 5 if what they sugested works) Seller reached out and helped to resolve the issue finacially but also provided a potential solution by upgrading the devices firmware. Will Update if firmware flash fixes issue but even if it dosent, they still have earned 2 extra stars from me just for quality of customer service. FINAL UPDATE: It Works! Updating the firmware fixed the connection issues with my Pixel 8 Pro! HOWEVER, updating the firmware was no easy task, if you watch videos online or follow the given instructions it seems simple but modern smartphones do not use two networks at the same time, they used to but they stopped that for battery savings, so connecting to the units wifi then trying to access the internet through another wifi was not happening, not on my android or my wive's IPhone. Here is the solution I found, if you have a PC or MAC in the house that is connected via ethernet but it can also connect to Wifi then you are good. Connect the wifi to the Carlin unit and then since your connect via ethernet to your home network, just open your web browser and type in the given IP address to access the units settings, on that settings page all they way at the bottom is the option to check for an update. It Connects every time now and stays connected!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I just got a newer car with car play. To use I had to plug my phone into the car’s USB slot with a cable. I am so pleased that this small USB device eliminates the need to do that. It uses Bluetooth to connect. I just get in the car and voila! Car play automatically connects when starting the car. Well worth the cost!

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and a 2025 Elantra Convenience, which unfortunately doesn’t have wireless CarPlay enabled like the base model (thanks Hyundai). This does the job, but it’s just ok. Quality is decent, response time is good. You can tell it’s a bit slower than usb cable but overall it’s decent. Small, discrete, easy to connect to. I just wish it were better for the price. More often than I’d prefer it randomly disconnects and a lot of those times I have to unplug the receiver and plug it back in to get things going again. While driving, this is distracting and extremely inconvenient especially when driving for work and not knowing where you are. When I do have to unplug it in the middle of driving, it’s usually pretty hot. I’m not sure how warm it is supposed to get, but I feel like it shouldn’t be that hot.

Love it (1 month of usage). Much much better, faster and more stable than "wired" carplay adapters. This one plugs directly into usb.

I’m gonna give it a 2 stars. Fast connecting to my phone and get to CarPlay. But the problem I have is, it always disconnect after it connected. Then it get connected again. It’s a little annoying when it happens every single day. I don’t care how fast it connects. It’s the disconnecting I am upset about. Fix It. Going back to the carlinkit 5. At least that one works like it supposed to. Returning it.

L’ho usato solo per un paio di giorni, ma la connessione sembra stabile, lag impercettibile, rispetto ai tempi di reazione non eccelsi della connessione con cavo. Scalda un po’ ed ovviamente consuma la batteria del telefono più delle connessione Bluetooth del vivavoce auto, ma ovviamente fa anche molto di più.

Yaklaşık 1 ay dır deniyorum. Gerek güncellenmesi gerek telefona bağlantı hızı mükemmel. Küçük olması ve az ısınması ideal. Eski CarPlay ürünümüm güncelleme sorunu sebebi ile bu ürüne geçtim. Tavsiye ederim. Netflix ekran yansıtma ve diğer fantezi özellikler yok. Sadece CarPlay işlevini layikiyle yerine getiriyor. Ben sevdim.
