this book was exactly what I was looking for
Not biased toward a particular modality of training - free weights, machines, body weight, etc. Does a good job of explaining exercise principles for various workout goals regardless of exercise modality - fitness, weight loss, strength, etc. Contains a comprehensive directory of exercises, all explained in detail with images, and programs designed to meet various workout goals. I'm starting a weight loss program and was looking for guidance on the resistance training portion of my program - this book was exactly what I was looking for.Note: The numerous exercise programs are outlined in tables which are illegible on the Kindle Paperwhite and only legible on Windows Kindle Viewer if you click on them, in which case they enlarge enough to be legible. Recommend you stick with the paperback version.

Excellent Resource
As a 67 year old who has been weight training most of my life, I have read and tried many, many workouts. I started by ordering a sample of this book for my kindle. After reading the sample I ordered a hard copy and I'm glad that I did. The author clearly is very knowledgeable about strength training. In addition to traditional exercises he suggests modifications that improve the effectiveness of the exercise. He also provides workouts with different intensities allowing one to progress at his/her own pace. I recommend this book to anyone interested in improving their workouts.

More Great Stuff from Coach Tumminello
Coach Tumminello has put out another great book that will appeal to fitness enthusiasts and professionals. His logical way of looking at fitness topics is one reason that I look forward to the material he puts out. I plan to go back through the book to gain a better understanding of the programming.

Good explanation for all the exercises
Good explanation for all the exercises. I'm not impressed of the perfected form on the exercises. I was expecting more dynamic exercises.

This an all 3 of Nicks books are without fail some of the best ever training books .....if your serious about getting in sharp this book has everything you will ever need Nick is amazing I've been training for years free weights ,martial arts ,boxing this book has everything you won't be disappointed the information is Clare and brilliant and th pictures are fab just like Nicks others ....great book worth every penny ;)

Must have for gym goers
Great book from a knowledgeable bloke. All science based advice on all aspects or training. It has helped perfect my exercise technique based on new research.

There is something wrong with the exercise tables in the Kindle version
I recently bought the Kindle version of this book and even though I am reading it on a tablet so as to have the highest quality, there is definitely something wrong with the exercise tables in the Beginner's Section. The number of sets show up as either 13 or 23 which makes no sense. I don't know what that is supposed to say. Is it a typo or the Kindle version? Also, the tables are too small and when expanded to be readable, the font is light, very hard to read for such key elements of the book.I would prefer a hard copy and hope the typos aren't still there. I would hope to get a response from Amazon on this matter.

very expensive and basic. very poorly formatted workouts
Ok. but very basic. and the programmes on the kindle version are very poorly formatted. for that price I'd have expected a much better book

Wer sich informieren will - fachlich fundiert - ist hier mehr als richtig. Nick ist super - auch seine Youtube und Facebook Seite.
