Straight Not Curly
I got my plant today. It was beautifully packaged in a tall skinny cardboard box wrapped in brown packing paper. The plant itself is pretty sizable, the leaves average 10 inches long! Some of the new leaves were wilted, and almost all of the tips did have some browning to them, but I expected that considering it's a living plant that was shipped. I gave it some water and a few hours later it's starting to look so much better! My only gripe about this is that the leaves are very straight. It doesn't look like the "Bonnie" variety that I ordered it looks like a regular spider plant. I'll give it a few days to see if they curl up with some sun and water, since they did spend a few days in a box straightened out, but I am skeptical. I'll update this review if it does turn out to be a "bonnie", but so far I'm just happy to have a plant. I've always wanted to own some plants but never found the opportunity. Now that I find myself in a situation where I am a bit more housebound, I'm excited to begin a hobby that has been sitting in the back of my mind. I thought a spider plant would be nice and easy to start with!*Update 3 weeks laterI love my plant! It is thriving, but it's definitely not the curly plant I was expecting. It stands up pretty tall and the leaves do have a slight downward curve to them, with the hint of a spiral on some of the tips, but for the most part it doesn't look like the mop top I was expecting. Regardless, it's grown so much in these past few weeks, and the color is stunning on it.

Not like pictures
Realizing it came in 4 inch pot. My mind still said bigger. It does seam healthy as of now. Roots were not in pot included when taken from packaging . Put in bowl temporarily, soil today coming for new pot. Three smallish baby plants no trailing babies. Was hoping for a more mature plant. Gonna be awhile for the that look shown in the pictures.

Didn’t travel well :(
Okay not sure what “warmth” & “thickness” a spider plant is supposed to provide... but anywhooo, mostly posting this review to see if someone has any helpful advice. I received my plant & despite the packaging that said fragile & had an arrow that indicated what side to keep upright, seems like someone failed to take notice somewhere alone its journey as the whole plant out of the dirt & it was all bunched up inside the top of the box separated from the pot for it looked like quite some time. I tried to salvage as much of the limp sickly leaves that were left attached to roots, got it in some dirt & gave it a drink. It doesn’t look great though. Poor guy may not make it... but if anyone has any tips on what I can do for it we’d greatly appreciate it (the plant & myself)!

Disappointed
08/08/2016hydrate leaving negative reviews as we all know that mistakes and mishaps sometimes happen. I do not like to ruin reputable reputations as Hirts has in the past been very reliable.I have ordered plants before from Hirts without any issues or problems in the past, I am confident that Hirts will address this the issue as this is my very first complaint against them.I tried on multiple attempts through via-emails to upload pictures of the defective plant but was unsuccessful. As sending a message to the seller on the message board doesn't have an optional way to send an attachment. I can only apologize for the inconvenience and embarrassment this may cause Hirts. My plant was supposed to be a curly leaf bonnie spider plant, but there isn't anything curly about it, it had 6 leafs that fell off very easily leaving on 3 leafs that are (straight) not curly.I only wish i knew how to upload pictures to be viewed from my tablet and my phone? There aren't any available options on how to.If anyone would like to share your advice on how to accomplish this by almeans please leave me instructions.

Love Bonnies!
You know I really love this plant and I have ordered this item 3 time total 5 plants. The 1st 4 were received however we had freak cold spell and the didn't survive the shipping process. I order this one early in the fall season and this one is also having a hard time. I don't blame the seller I blame the weather.
