Genie35426A Garage Door Opener Transformer

I had a noisy transformer in my garage door opener that made a constant and very annoying buzzing sound even when not in use. The garage door company wanted to sell me a new $600+ opener. I pressed and got him to tell me the source of the noise, so we took off the cover and found out it was a $35 transformer. I ordered it on Amazon. Replaced the old with the new in about 5 mins. Very easy to install. No more noisy garage door opener!

It looks good but I didn't receive the part yet to try it

It did exactly what it was suppose to, at a cheaper price than I was expecting. I looked around the web for some time before finding it here. The other options I considered were not an exact duplicate and this one was.

Was exact replacement to my bad transformer. My opener stopped functioning after a power outage. I found the old transformer was outputting less than what it was rated for. This simple replacement saved me a couple hundred bucks since I did not have to replace the whole unit. Just be careful if you are a novice to electrical equipment. It may put out a lower voltage, but you could still get a Nast zap from a capacitor and it could throw off a ladder.

Still works

It was a difficult to find piece but AMAZON had it! We had given up on repairing our old opener and had looked at a new one but to save money we give it one more shot and Amazon not only had the part but MUCH cheaper than a earlier quote from a Genie repair guy! It works great!
