Hollyhock Single Mixed Colors - Long Blooming Period in All Zones

This was a reorder for me. I bought some last year and planted them. They produce flowers the next year. I am thrilled with them. (The darker, red ones are in the back.)

These seeds didn't have any weeds in them and they all grew really well. They were all different colors you can't really tell from the pic but I got white, baby pink, hot pink, purple, and a got hot pink puffy kind. They were all so pretty and I got a ton of seeds from the flowers it grew that I'm using for next year.

I purchased these seeds in May 2020 and planted them in June 2020. As is typical for hollyhocks, they did not flower the first year, and did not produce much foliage that first summer due to the extreme heat experienced in Phoenix in 2020. However, this is year two (May 2021) and as you can see from my pictures, they grew tall and absolutely gorgeous. I’m not sure how many of the seeds that I planted actually grew, but as long as I got this many plants, I know they’ll reseed themselves next year.

Sprouted easily.

I got 3 white seeds and the rest are black. Have the seeds mostly rotted or are the white seeds sterile? I'm looking for answers moreso than giving a review. I just got the seeds yesterday.

Don’t buy, most of the seeds didn’t grow for me. Maybe my fault? I used soil, water, and the sun, what did I do wrong?
