Q: Do you think the plastic will absorb the smell from Italian dressing?

I've not used it to top anything other than cold brewed coffee, but it has not "kept the smell" of this, not does it appear stained. I would imagine a good wash now and again, and it would be fine for Italian dressing. ;)

Q: Where are these made?

According to the company, their products are all assembled in the US. Some components are sourced "offshore". I'm guessing this means "China", but it could be a lot of places. Each lid is two injection-molded plastic pieces and a silicone gasket. Regardless, I find the products to be excellently engineered and of high quality construction.

Q: Does a 6.5 cm diameter mouth mason jar fit any of these?

The wide mouth lids should fit a 3 in (7.62 cm) mouth jar, and the regular lids should fit a 2.375 in (6.0325 cm) mouth jar.
