I bought this with the intention of making it into a tbr dispenser with papers in small capsules. I am in love with it!!!! The yellow had to go tho so I spray painted the body with a spray paint with a primer. Still had to paint it twice. I used frosted glass spray paint for the container. It says it holds 420 1" capsules. I bought 1.1" and only 337 fit but that's not a deal breaker for me. I'm not if you can change it to free spin because I want to use the quarters to save more book money but I think you can if you remove a piece of the mechanism that spins. I'm already thinking of getting another one as I still have plenty if books to add to my tbr list.
