Rodney Dangerfield - The Ultimate No Respect Collection [DVD]

This set is rodney through the 80's and 90's. I've seen Rodney in person more times than I can count. I worked as a body guard at Westbury for years and met the man many times. This set is a mix of his work. His one liners made him who he was, but you do here the same lines over and over.If you buy this set as a rememberence of the man and his act you won't be sorry. This is a mix of his acts, even Carson would get old if they showed them all back to back.I gave the set 5 stars because of the man. He was one of a kind that could never be replaced.

Rodney Dangerfield has been tremendously talented for a very long time. It is quite evident in the box set collection of DVDs. For the man who made a career out of getting no respect, this collection proves otherwise. Television specials, HBO specials, guest appearances and stand up acts.....it all here.

Classic comedian. One liners style of comedy. These are mostly from live shows. Some stuff is off color. But I think he’s funny.

Rodney Dangerfield is one of the most funniest comedians that I've ever known since Richard Pryor all three DVDS of this stand up comedy showcase are just as funny as ever. Especially the first Disc that features the performance of the late musical Icon Aretha Franklin.

seeing all the famous comics when they were relatively unknown was a good kick. seeing jerry seinfield do his early act it makes me wonder how he became famous ! a nice collection to watch

Great for a few laughs. Sort of cheesy but that's ok. If you love Rodney then you should be happy with this.Bought for my husbands birthday. He loves it.

If you enjoy Rodney Dangerfield at the height of his career as well as popular comedians when they were just starting out, then you will very much like this 3 dvd pack. However, before you buy and sit down to watch with your younger and even senior family members or friends, be prepared for comedy with lots of sexual overtones and risque language. Much of the early standup comedy of very popular comedians centered around R and X rated material and this dvd pack does not go against this premise. The standup act of Andrew "Dice" Clay speaks for itself but even the likes of early Jeff Foxworthy, Jerry Seinfeld, and Tim Allen among others were created for the adult audience and you will most likely be embarrassed watching it with anyone in their senior years and it is definatley not appropriate for the younger set. The 3 dvd set is a progression in the rating system. In my opinion, dvd #1 was PG to PG-13, dvd #2 was R to NC-17, and dvd #3 was NC-17 to X. Being middle aged, I found the dvd's very funny and entertaining but not while watching with my elderly mother. I bought this because she loved Rodney Dangerfield but she never saw him and other comedians she regularly sees on network TV such as Roseanne Barr, Tim Allen, etc. in this venue. All in all, a very good dvd pack but watch it first before viewing with the young or old.

Very disappointing. Purchased for Rodney's standup however had more of other standup/skits which were vulgar.
