My 7 year old who just started second grade loves this book. It is the first chapter book that he's finished, and he couldn't put it down-- I have a feeling that this series will take his reading to the next level.

This is a really good book because of the interesting things that happen, and it makes me laugh a lot

My son LOVES this book (and we have started the whole Jake Maddox collection). A second grade reader, just focusing on comprehension, this book kept his attention the whole time. I also love that there was a great lesson to the whole book. If your child likes sports, this author is for you!

The book was a good length for my third grader. He enjoyed it and looks forward to more in the series.

My grandsons have read all of Jake Maddox books. They are ages 8 and 10 and they have liked all of them
