Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold - 72 Tablets

Personal Use: I came down with a horrible head cold, which i ended up giving to my husband as well. Started out taking dayquil/nyquil along with Mucinex D. Noting truly got rid of it or made me feel better, other than knocking me out. I am a huge advocate of regular alka seltzer tablets for my tummy, so decided to give this a shot. I bought a small pack in CVS to try($7 for 20). We both felt much better within 15 mins of taking this so I wanted to get more. Since we were both taking it, the 20pack wasnt going to last very long so I looked to Amazon to get some more for cheaper and delivered to my door. Taste: Taste like 7up. Its very fizzy and has a lemony/lime sweetness. (Btw, I use a straw to guzzle down as quickly as possible just in case it leaves a bad taste, but it hasn't yet) Ingredients: Product Contains Aspirin 325 mg, Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg, Phenylephrine bitartrate 7.8 mg Price: Amazon has the best price I have found so far, and becomes even better is you can get on Sub&Save. The Large Quantity is awesome for any family or even just to have on hand. There is nothing worse than having to drag yourself to the store to buy medicine when you feel crappy to begin with. So i like having this on hand. Basically, all Alka Seltzer products work great, if you get the Effervescent tablets. I have not had this same experience with the gel caps so i highly recommend buying these tablets.

I HAVE A BAD COLD AND ALCA SELZER PLUS COLD IS THE ONLY MEDICINE THAT REALLY HELPS ME TO FEEL A LITTLE BETTTER. IT IS HELPFUL WITH BREAKING UP THE CONGESTION AND MISSERY THAT COMES WITH A COLD. DELIVERY OF THE MEDICINE WAS SUPER FAST FROM THE SELLER.

For those who don't know, Alka-Seltzer is the best migraine solution available. It is the _only_ thing, prescription or over the counter that has worked for me for the past ten years. I take it as fast as I can when the "sparklers" or other visual symptoms appear along with another headache tablet such as advil... Within five minutes, a belch announces itself and the "sparklers" disappear and the headache never arrives. I know this sounds unbelievable, but there have even been papers on the subject surmising that the help comes from the fact that Alka-Seltzer impacts the stomach PH. The packaging of misleading assumptions is worth a chuckle... 72 tablets means 36 doses since the tablets die outside of the foil. And, the box is HUGE and misleading... the enclosed packets would fit in a box that is 1/4 the size. Hoping this will help others with migraines. I get nothing else other than the hope of helping someone else who is going through what I used to go through.

Thank goodness, this is one of the only cold remedies that contains aspirin! Aspirin is one of the only things that shrinks the swelling/inflammation in the sinuses. Aspirin is a better fever reducer too. It also contains both an antihistamine and a decongestant. This combined with a cough medicine with an expectorant will fight the toughest cold or flu. This is my go to for the worst of the worst. Don't take this if you can't take aspirin but it's a God send for the rest of us. It does what acetaminophen(Tylenol) can never do.

Got here quick, good price

I love this product. I buy it all the time so that I have it when I need it. However, I went to buy it again and it's no longer offered in the 72 count. Looks like they changed the look of the box, the packaging of each of the products, raised the price, and lowered the available quantity per box. Not happy about that. Now I can only get it in 36 count or less. And as I said, it costs more. Tried out on their website, but found the same thing.

I do slate roofs and so I am outside summer and winter. When I get a cold I need to be able to keep the symptoms under control so I can work. So I throw two of these fizzy tablets into a glass of orange juice and drink it down. With that in me I can function for about four hours. And then I do it all over again at night so that I can sleep. Pain goes away, runny nose is less and I just am generally in better shape so I can sleep. And sleep is what i need. Been doing this routine for the past fifteen years and it has yet to fail me.
