Piatnik Playing Cards - Elegance double deck

I've had a pack of these for years and after very regular use (almost every day) they are now soiled so they are demoted to use by people with messy hands!These are lovely little cards. They're just the right size for a game of patience on a lap tray in bed, or not taking up too much room when travelling, or when sharing a table with someone else.I love the pictures - like little old fashioned paintings - and the backs are easy to tell apart, unlike some double packs you can get.

Piatnik cards are not cheap, but they are made to last - one double pack of mine survived well through a decade or so of use on the pavement outside the Albert Hall while queueing for the proms. They have a smooth surface and an clear and elegant version of the traditional card face patterns. The choice of back patterns is vast. Except for cards collected as souvenirs, I wouldn't buy playing cards from anyone else.
