I have never written an Amazon review before but felt obliged to do so for the new Dr Tungs paper-pack. I have been a loyal Dr Tungs customer for years, have converted family and friends to the brand, but will no longer purchase Dr Tungs since they switched to the new packaging. As other reviews point out, it is totally unusable and falls apart within hours. I am massively disappointed and very baffled that the company thought this was an acceptable product. Recommend looking elsewhere for expandable floss.

I have used dozens of different dental flosses - thin, thick, silk, nylon, flavored, unflavored, smooth, textured, waxed, unwaxed, etc, etc, etc. And this is my all-time favorite. Thick yet stretches/squishes into tight spaces, enough texture to grab & pull out the bits, unflavored, strong, does not easily shred. Thank you!!

Dr. Tung's now provides what they call "eco" packaging. It's hard to handle and cheap. Very, very disappointed. Sent this item back. I don't need cheaply made packages.

Misrepresented! It is paper dispensers. Do not buy!

I’ve tried many flosses, and like this one best. It’s slides well between the teeth and is wide enough to remove stubborn food particles.

Best floss since j&j bailed out!

I have been using this floss for years, best ever. Many people complained about the packaging. My husband and I appreciate NOT having plastic and find the paper very easy to travel with. It's easy to use, does not fall apart for us, no effort at all for us. Every time I use it, I thank the company for being plastic aware. Lasts a long time.

Even if Dr Tung's wasn't the best floss on the market, i would still give this product 5 stars--for the absolutely ingenious innovative dispenser! So I'm gob-smacked by the negative reviews from people who don't like it. (Have they bothered to try it before complaining?) After the better part of a lifetime using other brands of mildly toxic Teflon-coated floss which inevitably got tangled in fingernail-busting plastic dispensers, having to dismantle the damned things to get the floss to flow smoothly again, then throwing them in the garbage when finished because the housings are unrecyclable on this or any nearby planet, I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Tung's new design. Don't get me wrong: when I first saw it, I was puzzled. But this brilliant new design (that looks to be inspired by origami) works flawlessly every time--even easier and more reliably than the older dispenser designs. Why? Because it gets rid of stupid superfluous elements, allowing the floss spool to float and spin freely but securely in the paper housing without ever binding. And it's SO eco-friendly (is that a bad thing now?) that it deserves a green design award. Is the new dispenser cheaper? Probably...but good for them. This is what ALL companies should be doing, because with most packaging, you're not really getting what you pay for. It's like buying a mahogany coffin with silk quilting and gold trim. At least in this case, less is more. Thanks, Dr. Tung...whoever you are.
