If you go to spanx.com, there you will find a size chart. I used the chart and then ordered the spans item from Amazon-it was less expensive. Spans garments do stretch to fit very well, and the size chart provides an accurate fit using height and weight.

Is it hard to go to the bathroom in them?

not at all, and they are very comfortable.
