Can I just buy the door latch part for this reader?

Yes. The HID card reader is by itself. It’s then left up to what works best as to what kind of door lock is used. Mine are all hooked to mag locks

What type of credentials does it support?

This is a multi class reader so it should support the up to date versions of card access system. It is used all the time with softwarehouse, Lenel, s2, amag

Does the reader include the MDP-00870 bluetooth module? is inside the reader and is used for virtual credentials on the phone

Hi, The HID RP40 920PTNNEK00000 doesn't come with the Bluetooth module. You will need to purchase the Bluetooth upgrade kit (BLEOSDP-UPG-A-920) separately or purchase an HID RP40 920PMNNEKEA003. Thank you.
