great slip lead
This is a great slip lead. Well made and it will last. It is much sturdier than the thin/fancy dog show slip leads, and I wanted a sturdier lead for my 7 month old pup who is in training. This goes on quickly and easily and works very well. My breeder recommended getting a slip lead for this training.

Awesome leash!
I should’ve bought this leash along time. I have two dogs that have been a challenge for me walking them. Of course the human has a lot to do with it. I now have bought two of these leashes as I have two dogs and the walks have become wonderful. I have two escape artist and they are not getting out of these leashes for sure. Cesar Millan. Thank you so Much for coming up with this wonderful leash. we can enjoy our walks like I have always done with my other dogs. I am seeing a big difference in my dogs also. When we are walking the goes from standing straight up to straight out. Happy and relaxed. Well, they’re still not happy with car rides they have gotten better. And by the way, I have too! Thanks for making my life and my dogs lives More enjoyable. We are working progress, but we are a lot further than we have ever been. We are all enjoying our walks.

Not the best quality for the price
This leash works perfectly for my dogs and surely fits the task for what was made of. Nonetheless the quality is not that good and the leash is deteriorating fast.

This leash is the real deal
I had originally bought a long leather leash that had different configurations for use for a two year old, not leash trained, Aussie. It was nice for long lead letting him run a bit but when you had to gain control again it just wasn't working and I struggled most of the spring and summer. So I purchased a Cesar slip lead and it really was a game changer. By the third walk, he got it. I'm short so the 4-1/2 foot length is perfect. The width of the leash material makes it very comfortable for the dog. Now that he is much better trained the leash can actually droop around his shoulders so it is almost like off leash walking. It is also quick to re-tighten when needed. If I had to criticize something it would be when your hand sweats the leash gets a little slippery but it is not really a problem. I can open my hand and the loop will stay around my wrist due to it not being limp like other leash loops. I highly recommend this leash. I wasn't going to mess around, I was going to buy the real deal.

Does help, but needs constant adjusting during walk
I watch so many Cesar television shows on how to correct dog behavior and see him use a Yellow version on the shows. I see there is not a yellow version of this lead available on the site so that was irritating because I wanted to get what he uses exactly from his show. Anyway, thanks to another reviewer, I knew to buy the "large" size of this for my 40lb dog because she made the mistake of buying the regular smaller size this site defaults to choose. The "large" is not very long, only 2 ft but maybe the rope is thicker. The rope is a light stretchy material so it does not chafe your hand, but it still burns after a while of your dog pulling and you trying to keep it from pulling. I could not imagine trying to use this on a dog bigger than 40 pounds because it feels like it is at it's max strength when I am dealing with mine.My dog likes to eat anything and everything on the ground as we walk so I needed this for the option of the muzzle control feature of the rope. As others have said it acts like the gentle leader halter.Pros: The adjustable slide to "secure" the loop size over your dog's head, behind it's ears is easy to move up and down. The black metal ring works well when you use the second circle to loop over your dog's muzzle. Every time she tries to open her mouth to eat something on the ground she can't.CONS: The adjustable slide to "secure" the loop is too easy to move and therefore I have to constantly push it back down on my dog's head while walking. I am trying to find a clamp of some sort I can clip behind this slider to keep it in place once my dog starts moving. As soon as it begins to slide up from movement, causing the neck hoop opening to widen and she is back to pulling hard.

Dog leash
This leash is by far the best of this type of leash. Stays put high up on the neck and my dog readily responds. It's comfortable and easy on and off. Good quality material. Goes into my pocket nicely. It's my favorite leash. My dog is very accepting to put it on too.

to much flex
EDIT: So I wanted to give this slip lead another chance but I think the issue is that since is flexes and if you have a really stubborn dog you'll notice that this will hurt the dog more than help. For instance a common training technique is to walk back and forth until the dog walks nicely and then go for walk, with this tool I've noticed that the dog never gets to that point because due to the flex the leash first sinches then pulls. If you want to give a small pop then its EXTREMELY difficult to gauge it (again, this sinches and pulls. Very hard to get even the smallest 'pop'). So you'll most likely end up over correcting and hurting your dog. The the flex on this leash is horrible. So close yet so far. This leash was almost perfect if it was made from a material that wasn't stretchy. This has too much flex so minor corrections have to turn into harder corrections because you end up just pulling and not giving a small pop due to the flex. My dog does respond well to the slip lead because it's the only collar/leash that stays at the top of the neck (yes you have to keep re-adjusting but that's all of them) but when I do a back and forth re-direct to train my pup not to pull the flex on this makes it difficult to get the result needed because it just ends up pulling on the dog sometimes making them more resistant.
