Forget the rest as this is the BEST!
I severely sprained my left ankle in September of 2016 & it didn't heal right. After seeing my doctor 15 months later he asked that I use a sturdy brace until my MRI was done & results were in. LOVE this brace!!! VERY EASY to take on and off. Solid, rigid stays keep ankle from rolling. It fit in all my shoes though it is a tad bulky. This brace kept me from further injuring my ankle/foot. Turns out I have stretched some ligaments, torn some tendons & have severe tendinitis & tendosynovitis in a couple of my tendons as well. That landed me in a walking boot.I recently went on vacation & had scheduled some hiking. Needless to say the walking boot wasn't going to happen. I wore this brace on 3 different hike/walk days. WOW!!! Excellent support over rugged terrain. Despite the fact this brace covers a lot of the ankle it was surprisingly cool (was hiking in 85 degree weather). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Useful advice on how to remove the brace
First of all, this brace met or exceeded my expectations. It is extremely comfortable and supportive, and it fits inside my athletic shoe without any issue. The reason for this review is that I agree with another reviewer that it is devilishly difficult to remove before you learn the trick to the removal. It is difficult because the Velcro is very strong, and it extends to the very end of the strap. Making it even more difficult is the fact that the strap ends on the back side of my ankle, where I cannot see it. I am a strong guy, but the tips of my fingers struggled to find it and then to get it off the first time. After that, I remembered that there was a miscellaneous unmarked piece of black material in the box, perhaps 1.5" x 1.5". AHA! I attached that to the last 1/2" of the Velcro strap, making a sort of pull tab. It works, and it has continued to work day after day. The instructions are in 20 languages but make no mention of this. I hope that this helps.

Hard to get on/off and hurt my ankle
I was truly excited to receive this brace, especially after reading the fantastic reviews. I expected it to outperform the lace-up brace prescribed by my doctor. Unfortunately, I ended up purchasing it twice; the first one in my size was too small to fit my foot. The second one was a size up, and while I managed to get my foot in, I experienced significant pain from the side braces when I tried to walk. I attempted to adjust the braces, but that didn’t help. I also tried adding extra padding between my ankle and the brace, but it kept shifting with each step, which was equally painful. I’m sure it will work for some people, but for me it didn’t and now I’m on the hunt for a brace that won’t hurt me when I walk. My wish is that the stiff braces on the sides could be adjusted to my ankle and that it would be easier to get on and off.

Worth a try
After dealing with an old ankle injury for years, sprains have unfortunately become a pretty common occurrence for me. I’ve tried a handful of braces over time, but the Aircast A60 has stood out—especially compared to the previous model I used. The brace is surprisingly comfortable, even when worn for long stretches of the day. It offers a secure, stable fit without feeling bulky or restrictive, which is something I really appreciate when I’m trying to stay active without aggravating my ankle. Most importantly, the A60 provides solid protection and support whether I’m dealing with a fresh sprain or just some lingering bruising. It keeps my ankle aligned, reduces the risk of rolling it again, and gives me the confidence to move around without constantly worrying about reinjury.Overall, it’s a reliable, well‑designed brace that does exactly what it promises.

Provides Good Support
I have now purchased 5 of these Aircast A60 Ankle supports in the last 6 years. I'm can get as many as two years of daily use from one before it needs to be replaced, sometimes more. I just recently purchased the fifth brace, so I'm averaging 1 1/2 years per brace. For me, they are thin enough that I can wear them with any shoe or boot that I have with no problem. I have never had to consider a different shoe size in order to accommodate the brace. I'm a male, so I can't attest to how they fit under woman's shoes. The A60 isn't solid like a cast, it's flexible enough that your foot can move normally, but gives enough support that I don't twist my ankle due to my torn ligaments. As with most things of this type, it takes a little time to get used to wearing it. There was some minor irritation at first, but I long ago became accustomed to it and now I usually don't even remember I'm wearing it. Prior to finding the Aircast A60, I would twist my ankle on a regular basis. Since using the A60, I have not twisted my ankle even once. There have been many occasions where I would have suffered a painful twist but was totally saved by the brace. My issues with my ankle are my own, yours may be different. But for me, I never go out without the A60 brace, it's made a world of difference.

Sizing not good, but brace seems like a good design
I received this brace yesterday. I have a history of spraining my left ankle from volleyball years ago. Unfortunately, I completely rolled my ankle taking my dogs for a walk with a loud pop. I am a Physical therapist. I wanted to protect my ankle initially. So, I started in the stirrup Aircast, but felt ready to transition to a brace that I could wear without shoes for my martial arts class. I was looking for good support laterally with good comfort and ability to flex the foot, and not require shoes. I have used laced up type braces in the past with the plastic stays, which work, but they are a little bulky still. I used an Active Ankle when I used to play volleyball and LOVE it, but it requires a shoe. I love the design of this brace. However, I rated it as three stars because the fit is not good. I was worried about ordering a brace based on shoe size rather then ankle size. But I went ahead anyway and ordered the brace, because it looked like it could work well if the fit was good. I wear a women's 9.5 to 10 shoe size and sizing of this brace is based on shoe size. The brace feels too big and the bars seem too wide at the ankle. Based on my shoe size, I ordered a size medium form their chart. However, I feel like the small would work better, but I don't have it to try. I would like to have the smaller size to see how well this brace would work, because the design seems good.

EXCELLENT SUPPORT!
EXCELLENT SUPPORT!! I don't play sports or use this for volleyball as one of the ads suggested. In fact, I use this brace to help keep my ankles from rolling because of my neurological disorder that's similar to MS. Before buying and wearing a brace on my left and right ankle, I was consistently falling because my ankles would roll and I would collapse to the floor, many times seriously injuring myself. I did not want to wear cold steel braces or pay a specialist doctor for something that could give me the support I KNEW I NEEDED to keep me from falling. It was thousands of dollars compared to this brace under $30.00. I was right. The brace is comfortable, supportive, and it fits down inside my shoe. When wearing jeans or slacks, no one knows I'm wearing it. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

Does not fit as described
I wanted to request a replacement, since this item is not eligible for return (it says only eligible for a refund or replacement right there when you click order item). A replacement of a smaller size would be ok with me, but I can't find where to request a replacement! I tried going to returns, but it just tells me it's not eligible for a return...doesn't direct me to where to request a replacement. That said, here's my review of the actual item: I wear a women's size 9.5 so I ordered a medium (which is supposed to fit a women's 9-13) but it does NOT fit, not even close. The brace is so loose on my foot and ankle it is of no use to me whatsoever. To be fair, I do have very "bony" feet, so I tried several times to cinch it down to where it might work, to no avail. If I tighten it down where it doesn't slide around, I have a big bunch of the "liner" wadded up on top of my shin bone. The contoured ankle support also sits approximately 3/4 of an inch ABOVE my actual ankle bone, which would not be comfortable (or helpful). You cannot adjust the position, since it is a one piece support that goes under the foot.Overall, unimpressed! Product arrived in just a padded envelope, with a flimsy inner box that was crushed, and the inner box had also been taped shut with scotch tape as though it was possibly a previously returned item. Hoping to be able to contact the seller in the hopes that they will make this right. This might fit a size 11, but definitely not a 9.5. Not even close.

Extremely effective and comfortable. Wearing a shoe over it is very easy
Extremely effective and comfortable. Wearing a shoe over it is very easy. But, surprisingly difficult to obtain a brace for the "left foot". The entire website contained the brace for the "right foot" only. Took me a week of searching before i got lucky.

O Air cast ficou apertado no meu pé. Gostaria de trocar pelo tamanho G. Mas consta que o produto não está elegível para troca. Então vou ficar no prejuízo?

The best ankle brace out there!
I bought one of these (white, left foot) when I sustained an ankle injury due to tendonitis (too much time in the gym) and I'd heard it worked for Andy Murray. Up until that time, I was in agony even walking a few metres, unable to exercise and at my wits' end. This ankle brace is the top of the range, and my goodness, it's worth every penny! It supports your ankle, whilst allowing it to heal and to be able to walk on it and take your weight virtually without pain. Seriously, I was told at hospital that my achilles was at the point of rupturing when I bought this brace and 2 months after getting it (wearing it all day and sometimes even at night at first when the pain was really bad), I became almost pain free and able to get back to the gym. This is my second Aircast A60 - they do eventually wear out in parts after being washed, although I must say the adhesive qualities of the strap are many times better than products you would buy at a pharmacy. Given that the first one lasted nearly two years, however, I'm really happy to be buying another one and highly recommend it for people who've sustained injuries they are struggling to heal from.

Male size 8 feet
Bought to help recover from a really bad ankle sprain. I fell from height onto loose cobbles and managed to give myself a nasty eversion sprain. I now can only walk any distance with a walking stick.Sizing:- I have normal width size 8 feet. These fit perfectly (I bought the lest medium size). I am 5ft10” 90kg so have fairly substantial (gorgeous looking though) calves and still have room in the brace.Pros:- I tried another expensive lace up brace and this is better for fit and effectiveness. The lace up ones are probably better for prevention rather than a cure in my opinion. This one gives good support and stops excessive rotation on the joint. It’s fairly comfortable. I have worn it under lightweight leather walking boots as well as normal shoes. It certainly helps with pain relief and extends my walking range by at least double. It’s also easy to put on. Seems to be made from good quality materials.Cons:- it can rub above your ankle if you are too active in it but it’s not awful. This is affected by what shoes you wear and what activity you are doing with it so you can’t really blame the brace. If I lost it I would buy another
