What Am I Feeling?: Defining Emotions

Wow! Love this book! Really helps my 6 year old son to communicate his big feelings. Very easy to use, there is an adults section at the front telling you the purpose of the book and how to use it followed by lots of faces showing different emotions. It describes, in a way children can understand, how to cope when your feelings are overwhelming.

I bought this to help my grandson express himself. Good pictures and clear wording. Held his interest. Good information for adults at the start of the book.

What a wonderful book. Not come across anything like this before but an invaluable tool to help children understand and recognise emotions and discuss how to deal with them. Brilliant book and the author clearly has lots of relevant experience.

Kids come with a full spectrum of emotions, some of which are too big to keep inside. Every child handles emotions differently, but learning to deal with them is an important part of growing up.This book is a brilliant engaging read, my six year old daughter thoroughly enjoys reading over and over, especially when somedays are filled with emotions.Highly recommended.

I don’t often leave reviews but I really felt this beautiful book deserved one.My daughter suffers from anxiety and this book has been an amazing little tool to use with her, my husband and I feel it’s made a huge difference in expressing herself and how she is feeling on her anxious days.The pictures are beautiful!I just wanted to say Thank you as this has made a difference in our home, I would highly recommended this book.

Sat down to read this with my daughter and entered a world seen through her eyes. Very powerful tool to use in order discuss feelings and emotions and develop a young persons emotional literacy
