Excellent Apple Home Secure Video camera (HKSV). I got this camera to use in my backyard. I am only using it with Apple HomeKit. It has been perfect. I was able to set it up and add it to Apple Home right out of the box. The picture is clear and crisp. The colors look good. It doesn’t lag or skip or anything like that. I’ve been happy with it. It is also currently -25 degrees Fahrenheit here and it continues to work brilliantly while my battery operated cameras all shut themselves down. Apple Home is limited to 1080P so the Aqara app would probably look even better. That is a limitation by Apple. Whaddya gonna do? The audio is not great though. It’s a tiny camera with a tinny little mic. That is a non-issue for my use case but if audio is important to you, be aware that the audio is poor. That is very common of cameras this size and pricepoint. I would not want to use it at my front door if I needed to communicate with people. Night vision is OK. Better than I expected but not great. But if you want a solid HomeKit camera to see your yard outside, this is the way to go. Just remember that your experience with this camera is heavily influenced by your Wi-Fi. This is true of all cameras. If you don’t have good Wi-Fi, no camera will work very well. If you plan on mounting it on the side of your house, be aware that you will probably need to purchase a longer power cable, depending on where your power connection is.

I am a big fan of Aqara products because they offer a range of high quality products at reasonable pricing. This camera is a good example, its under 40$ and provides excellent picture quality. I installed this camera outside of my home to replace my old Lorex camera. The main reason was to create an automation that worked with my Aqara Door lock. Anytime the door unlocks, the camera plays a voice recording so anyone outside knows they can enter. This is a perfect setup that works well with my remote button and Google home app. The picture quality is great and there many features that the old Lorex camera didn't have (Richards more expensive BTW). So far, I am very pleased with this camera and will recommend it to anyone.

For the price these are great HomeKit capable cameras - only issue is they get hot and shutdown if in direct sunlight outdoors if they are shaded no problems - I installed 3 of these 1 in direct south sun - shuts off at 1:00pm due to heat every day usually comes back on around 6:00pm after the sun is off of it usually but sometime it needs a power cycle - the other 2 are in north and east facing exposures and absolutely no problems of any kind great quality for the price - on the south one I have added a matter outlet to power it down at 1:00pm and back on at 5:00pm better solution than just letting it overheat. I even 3d printed a shield for the south one and it still gets to hot - so 4 stars - if you are not using in direct south sun you will have no issues and for you it’s 5 stars - I also have another brand camera facing south in direct sun also - same issue but that camera was 4 times as expensive however my printed shield did work on it - I can live with the heat issue for the price but it is something to consider if just not having a camera on for a few hours a day isn’t a realistic solution for you - this camera is really more for night for me so it works for me. The color night vision is nice their app is actually nice also but in HomeKit these work great. The setup is easy just scan the code and they setup and I’ve had no connectivity or issues of any kind with the other 2 -

Most importantly, it works all of the time. One problem with outdoor WiFi cameras is that they are separated from the router by walls and distance. This one stays connected. It was very easy to install. There aren’t many instructions in the box, but if you use the Aqara app, it will give you the option to connect it to HomeKit. It uses a USB-C connection instead of batteries or solar power. The cord is only about three feet long, so you will want to get a longer cord. I got a 16 foot cord that works fine. It has displayed accurate motion detection and doesn’t active when the wind blows. I wanted a camera that also records Apple Secure Video, and this one does it well. This is the affordable camera I’ve been waiting for, and I plan to buy more of them.

Set this up in our dog's room so we can check on him while we're out of the house and it has genuinely been one of the best home tech purchases we've made. Video quality is outstanding — easily some of the best I've seen at the consumer level. Clear, sharp, and the 2K resolution actually makes a difference when you're trying to see what your dog is getting into. Setup on mine was completely painless. Bought a second one as a gift for my dad and that one gave us a bit more trouble, but we eventually got it sorted — pretty sure that was his spotty wifi more than anything to do with the camera itself. One thing worth knowing if you're running HomeKit: my wife can't view the feed through the HomeKit interface when she's off our home wifi. She can see it just fine in the Aqara app though. My best guess is this is an HKSV/iCloud+ subscription issue rather than anything wrong with the camera, but it's something to be aware of depending on your setup. Other than that quirk, this thing is a home run. We're already planning to replace all of our cameras with Aqara products. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I got this camera to go with all my other Aqara sensors etc. although it does work well with Apple home the spotlight randomly turns on even though that is turned off in the settings. That defeats the purpose of of this camera as I wanted to use it out of a sliding glass door to catch who was using my hot tub. I’ll be getting a different camera. Imaging is fine the ai is fine. Just wish the camera would not use the low light spotlight when it is clearly selected to be off in the settings

Great little camera for the price works well works with Apple HomeKit. I have bought several of them and will buy more if needed.

Amazing for the price point, I have close to a dozen of these and I use them with Apple home, they’ve been super reliable, much better, low light visuals than I expected and for the price I have not found anything close to it. That being said, these are not without issue, my only two complaints with these are one the audio quality is extremely lacking, if somebody is within 6 feet of the camera and talking at a normal volume, it is clear as day, but using these cameras to cover a large area, unlike other cameras, the audio quality very quickly depreciates into unusable. Two pairing them to the Home app has never been easy, it could be my specific situation as I haven’t seen any issues with this with other people however, I’ve tried every combination of operations to find a smooth process to get these two pair with Apple home, they always eventually pair, but it usually requires 5 to 10 minutes of failed pairing attempts first, lastly I have no issues with them not supporting 5GHZ Wi-Fi as they are security cameras, don’t need the bandwidth but do need the range so it makes sense however, I don’t think they support mesh Wi-Fi very much as I have two routers in my home and they seem to never be able to connect to the second Wi-Fi router, regardless of a better connection, they would prefer the Mac address of the First router, this has led to intermittent issues with Camera Internet connectivity. Regardless, they still eventually find their way and connect to everything record everything and it’s viewable in the Apple home app with some software updates and some better reviews. This would knock everything out of the market. It’s incredible the price point this is at. Additionally, I saw a lot of concerns in the reviews as far as waterproofing/weatherproofing, please don’t put these cameras under the direct rain or any direct water, and they will be fine, mine have been outside for months, just slightly under the overhang of my house, absolutely no issues. I even tore one down to make sure there was nothing building up on the circuit board.

Wymieniłem dotychczasowe G2H i skończyły się problemy w HomeKit z kamerkami offline. Używam Hubów M2 i M3, więc ich brak w G100 mi nie przeszkadza. Jako kamera zewnętrzna też sprawdza się lepiej niż G6 bo jest mniejsza i dużo tańsza a ponadto ma większy kąt widzenia. Na razie same superlatywy!

Für diesen Preis liefert sie eine Performance ab, die sich vor deutlich teureren Systemen nicht verstecken muss. **Hier meine wichtigsten Eindrücke:** * **Bildqualität & Nachtsicht:** Die 2K-Auflösung ist gestochen scharf, Gesichter und Details sind perfekt zu erkennen. * **Einrichtung & Konnektivität:** Dank Wi-Fi steht die Verbindung absolut stabil und die Übertragung hat kaum Verzögerung. Ein riesiger Pluspunkt ist, dass die Kamera direkt ins WLAN eingebunden wird – man benötigt also keine zusätzliche Bridge/Hub von Aqara! * **Smarthome-Integration:** Die Einbindung in die gängigen Systeme klappt reibungslos. Sie streamt absolut flüssig (auch die Zwei-Wege-Kommunikation funktioniert super). * **Flexibilität & Speicher:** Da sie nach IP65 wetterfest ist, kann man sie wirklich überall flexibel platzieren. Dass man Videos ganz ohne Abo-Zwang lokal auf einer MicroSD-Karte oder sogar auf einem eigenen NAS-Server speichern kann, ist heutzutage leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr und verdient ein **Fazit:** Klein, unauffällig, wetterfest und vollgepackt mit modernster Technik. Wer eine zuverlässige Sicherheitskamera sucht, die ohne versteckte Abo-Kosten auskommt und sich perfekt ins Smarthome integrieren lässt, macht mit der G100 absolut alles richtig. 5 verdiente Sterne!

It’s a real upgrade from tapos c100 with higher resolution(to 2k), HomeKit secure video integration while still being able to connect to nas(via RTSP). The setup was pretty straight forward and I’m able to see the video straight from the Apple Home App (snappiest in my opinion) besides the vendor app and nas. I would recommend this camera.

E' ancora presto ma la telecamera Aqara sembra molto affidabile. Buona la qualità video e abbastanza semplice la configurazione e l'integrazione nella domotica di casa, anche con con HomeKit. Ottima la connessione WiFi. Dopo qualche settimana di utilizzo posso dire che è un buon prodotto, con un buon potenziale e un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Buona l'estetica.
