Our dog doesn't do well with any type of animal or fish meat. She had been on prescription hydrolyzed protein for years. I was nervous to make the switch but I'm so glad I did. This food has been amazing for her stomach! No issues with the transition. Plus she LOVED the taste and it is more affordable than a prescription diet. Yay!

My dogs eat this food along with vegan table scraps. It is more affordable than other brands and it is made with good ingredients. My chihuahua and American Eskimo dog have soft shiny fur. My old Chihuahua's fur and weight improved greatly.

Dogs adapted very well to vegan lifestyle with this product. Dry in a.m. and dry with low sodium soy sauce and warm water. extra veggies in the evening for a variety. Can not afford the canned vegan dog food.

Been feeding my dogs this for years. Never had an issue. Multiple vets say their bloodwork and health is great. One of my dogs has an allergy to most meats/proteins, but this food has never given her any trouble.Even puppy friends that come over for a visit like it!

This food is enjoyed by my cats, neighbor cats, raccoons, possums and rarely, but sometimes, a dog.I appreciate that the food is corpse free but at the price I paid, about $3.33 a pound including shipping, I'm not far off from the rate that I can get a 40 lb bag from Evolution Diet and I trust their brand much more overall. I usually use Evolution and rely on cheaper dog food for the neighborhood critters but I think I'll just double up on my Evolution Diet purchases next month.

This is the only food my sweet girl can eat, she is an extremely picky eater and no matter what we did she just wasn’t gaining weight , come to find out she is allergic to a lot of ingredients you find in most dog foods. This brand has been the only one we have been able to use and she is at a healthy weight now!

My boxer loves this food. He is experiencing boundless energy, super health, and a shiny coat that dazzels the eye! Our vet says that she has rarely seen a Boxer so healthy! Just be aware . . . This food and diet is very different to the usual meat, by product and preservative laden diet most dog foods offer. It makes a very healthy dog, BUT . . . it is high in fiber and nutrients, but high fiber passes through a carnivores short digestive system quickly. So, if you can't take your doggie friend out every 8 hours, be ready to clean your floor. Initially, our boxer would be fine with a 12 hour wait on preservative laden meat based food. He would be often constipated and his coat was ragged. Now, his health and coat are shining. But , he does need to go out every 8 hours. He is adjusting now, but when starting on this diet, his poop was very soft and sometimes liquid. As he adjusts, his poop is getting more solid, but if we wait too long to take him out, he can't hold it. He is not even able to warn us, it just comes out. So, if you have time with your dog, and want them to live a much longer healthier life, then feed them vegan food. Just be aware that they will need to "go" more often.

I have a dog with severe allergy problems. I did the whole veterinarian program with meds andPrescription Diet" and it was not successful . Worse, the dog got sick of eating 'Prescription' dog food and wasn't eating anymore. I felt I was torturing my dog with the same bad food every meal. I did learn from the vet that 85%+ of allergies are not to pollen etc, but to meats. Meats such as beef and chicken which these dumb dog food ads try to convince you that wild animals live on. We have coyotes and believe me they do not live on meat but will eat anything and their scat is full of seeds and strange fibrous debris.. So I decided to try a vegetarian diet for my dogs. The licking has 90% stopped and the hair on the legs and feet has grown back. They don't smell like they need a bath every three days since the sebum in the fur has decreased dramatically. I now cook vegetables occasionally and add them to the dog food. They dogs love it. AND I discovered something very interesting. When the dogs eat commercial dog food they act like they ate candy bars. When they eat real vegetables they are calm and mellow. I suspect the dog food companies add stimulants or even sugars (?) to make you think your dog is more energetic and lively when it eats their food. They certainly don't have to tell you what they put in it. And we all know fast food companies put all kinds of gross things in human food. So I am very pleased with Natural Balance. I wish I had put the pieces together sooner, but you can skip the years of experimenting with food and drugs and vet bills and go straight to the vegetarian dog food and see what happens. PS: I add water to the dog bowl like you would add milk to cereal so they feel like they ate more and do not get really thirsty shortly after eating dry food. This is another great tip for happier dogs.

I have purchased before at our pet store. For some reason, it has been out of stock. I usually pay half of this amount. My yorkie has a liver shunt, so she can't have any meat. This is the only one she likes.

Our pitbull loves it. And it doesn't smell, so now he doesn't smell like fish or other dead carcasses. He was allergic to chicken, and we couldn't stand the fish smell. I only wonder if he needs an oil supplement, I'll have to ask my vet friend.Edit:We no longer buy this, as the price is extortionate. We paid around $68 last time. Take a hike bud.
