Nice faucet for kitchen, works well, no complaints.
This new spigot was easy to install and works well. I was surprised to find that all of the water movement is controlled by electric valves inside a small box, so there is no water valve assembly within the actual spigot assembly. Most connections are easy to click into place and the battery box is mounted separately on the inside wall of the cabinet. The lever of the spigot is simply controlling an electric switch within the spigot assembly. That in turn tells the cold or hot water to turn on using electric valves within a separate valve and connection box that you have to screw into the back of the cabinet under the spigot. So far so good. We use it several times per day since June 2025 without any issues and still on original batteries now in Feb, 2026.

Simple install, flawless operation
Very easy to install. Control unit fits well under cabinet behind sink, with very good instructions that are easy to follow. Even the install itself is easy, and I recommend installing the box for the AA batteries in a convenient spot at the side of the cabinet near the front so you’ll be able to easily change the batteries … probably every year or so.

Looks great-functions well, and I love using it!
I appreciate the functionality of this every day. This arrived with all parts included for easy installation. The plate provided to cover the second hole from prior faucet, that had a separate “water turn on” handle, wasn’t quite large enough to cover ours, which created a problem since we have a third hole for a soap dispenser. However, I loved the faucet and its great price, so I problem solved (not returning per husband’s suggestion) and purchased a garbage disposal button which eliminated the need for the cover plate all together! The third hole further away for soap pump was used for exactly that. We are so pleased with this setup! Also, it’s a plus to have the option of batteries or plug-in for the faucet, since some may not have as easy access to electrical outlet. No leaks, pressure seems good, and overall quality seems great after a few months of use.

Terrible product. Do not buy.
Do not buy this product unless you want to be pulling out every single item under your sink and replacing the batteries every two to three months. We very rarely even use this function and still the batteries are always dead/dying. The faucet does not function without batteries. You will have no water in your sink until they are replaced. And there is no way to operate the faucet without the battery and motion function. I wish I never would’ve purchased this product.

Best combo of features and looks we found
We recently decided to get a new faucet because the internal parts were failing and it was never a faucet we loved, just one that came with our house when we built it. We first bought a Kohler Malleco Touchless because we loved the style of it, very similar to this Moen faucet. We bought that one at Costco though because the deal was so good. After installing it and starting to use it though we realized it’s use had a major fault. In order to use the touchless feature, the faucet has to be turned “ON”. After it’s turned on, you can swipe your hand in front of the sensor to turn it off and on. One of the issues with that is when people would come over, they had no idea how to work our faucet! They’d turn it on and off trying to get it to work. The other thing is the sensor is timed so it will turn off automatically. That’s good in case it’s left on but not good when your doing dishes etc...so then you’re fiddling with turning the sensor on and off to work it the way you need. Lastly, the location of the sensor made it turn off or on way too easily when using the faucet. After looking around at other faucets and their technology, I found that Delta works the same. In order to use their touch sensor, the faucet has to be turned on. I found that Moen did NOT work that way and was extremely happy. At that point it was just finding the style we liked which was this faucet. The good. We love the looks of it! It’s high and easy to use. The sensor on it is worlds better than any other brand!!! For one, it’s low and on the side opposite of the handle. This prevents it from accidentally being turned on. The best part though is the sensor works independently of the handle. So the handle can be in the off position but you can still turn it on with the sensor. Wonderful! The handle operation is smooth and the pull out hose works much better than the Kohler we had as well. The not as good but not deal breaker. Because our builder put our soap dispenser too close to our last faucet, we can’t use the soap dispenser it came with. But that’s not Moen’s fault. The way the sensor works is that ALL water is controlled through a battery or outlet powered control unit. This means even the faucet handle controls that unit. This allows the handle to stay in the off position and the sensor still work which is why I got it. The downside though is that if the box fails, batteries die, or power goes out and you use the outlet not batteries, your water WILL NOT Work. This could be a deal breaker for some but it wasn’t for us. The last thing is the faucet head. First off it’s not magnetic so it’s not as easy to fully seat it in the faucet. WHY is it NOT magnetic? So many other brands are and it worked amazingly. It doesn’t hurt how well the faucet works but it’s like the manufacturers have teamed up to leave our features so no faucet hasn’t everything. Also, the spray feature is nothing special, it’s the typical sprayer. The Kohler had a wonderful sprayer designed to blast off food which worked great and splashed less. Other brands have other spray designs which work much better. Glad this has a sprayer but it’s meh. It does have a hold button as well which has come in handy with various tasks. It’s where you can hold it down and the water stops until you let go of the button. All in all it’s a wonderful faucet with some great features but possible deal breakers for some. Compared to every other faucet I looked into, this was the best. But as far as every feature out there, this is missing some simple but great ones like the magnetic head. This is why I gave it four stars. Not because of function but because of features.

Great automatic faucet. Moen support is great.
Here are the positive points: Installation is relatively straight forward (for crawling around under a sink). The quick connects for the plumbing are quite easy to use and sealed up tightly. Once it was working, the faucet is great - one wave by the sensor turns the faucet on/off. It shuts off after about 2 minutes so you can't leave it on forever (that is a little inconvenient when washing up dishes after a large meal). You notice that the installation is 180 degrees off of the recommended installation, with the sensor on the right and the handle on the left. My spouse was very insistent that we find a faucet that worked with her right/left preferences. We just installed it turned around. I'm not sure you could do that with a backsplash that was close to the faucet, as now the handle goes down away from the sink. The only downside: It didn't work when we finished installation. The unit is electronically controlled (even with the handle), and we couldn't get any water to come out. The instructions were not very helpful, so after 20 minutes, we completely unplugged all the control and power cables, removed the batteries, waited 10 minutes or so, then re-installed them and it worked. Why it didn't work the first two times we did this, I have no idea. As a side note, all of the faucets in our home are Moen and their service and warranty support are great. Any leaks, or failures are addressed quickly and easily via email. Replacement parts arrive in about a week. But, you have to do the installation/repair.

Love this faucet. Easy and straight forward installation. Just wave your hand and it turns on or off. Works perfectly. Been using for about a month now - not sure how long batteries will last, but may go with the optional power adapter. Got it on sale - not sure I would pay full price as it is expensive, but great value on sale.

As a parent, I’ve accepted that my house is essentially a crime scene of sticky fingers, questionable smells, and unidentifiable stains. But the **Moen Essie Touchless Kitchen Faucet** has single-handedly restored order to my life—or at least to my sink. The touchless feature is pure magic. You know what’s not magic? Changing a diaper and realizing you have to turn on the faucet without *spreading the evidence*. With this beauty, I can swoop in like a hygiene superhero—wave my hand, and BOOM—water flows without smearing my child’s “art project” across the handle. It's like Moen designed this faucet specifically for exhausted parents who have seen things no one should see. The pull-down sprayer is another gem. I can rinse bottles, scrub dishes, and spray down whatever monstrosity the toddler glued to the counter *last week*. And let’s not forget the soap dispenser. I feel like a Michelin-star chef, effortlessly sudsing up with a sleek pump instead of a grimy bottle with a questionable crusty cap. Oh, and the “Spot Resist Stainless”? It’s not a lie. I don’t know what dark sorcery Moen used, but this faucet actually *stays clean.* My greasy fingerprints and water spots have been banished to whatever dimension mismatched socks go. In short, this faucet is everything. It’s stylish, smart, and saves me from inadvertently redecorating my kitchen with diaper residue. If you’re a parent, germaphobe, or just someone who doesn’t want to touch a faucet after chopping onions, buy this. It’s the MVP of my kitchen—and possibly my life.

Product delivered on the day as promised. The faucet is very well built with good warranty. Took less than 30 minutes to install even for first time DIY person. Tap will turn on electronically or manually and not either or. Motion sensor can be turned off if you want to bypass this feature. The power is from 6 alkaline batteries and should last a year with normal use. This has to be confirmed after a time. I will be happy if the batteries will last 6 months for the 2 of us in the household.

The motion sensor only works with the faucet at the shut off mode. A drip of few drops of water after turning it off each time.
