Great book! All the basics in a very readable format for all ages.

This is a fantastic resource. I'm a college minister and my students have greatly enjoyed it. The book is to the point and videos are short and engaging, but also theologically significant.In the Twitter world, it's the famous dichotomy: do I sacrifice good content to make it applicable and keep attention? This resource shows that to be a false dichotomy. I would recommend this, in the highest way possible, to any teacher of Biblical Truth. Especially to those disciplining and teaching young adults, teenagers, and children.I've combed through quite a bit of material for good resources, and even produced some of my own. I can say confidently that this material is unique. Professionally done. Exceptional quality. Worth it.

I've been using this video resource in an adult class I'm teaching on theology. The group has loved it, and it has provided good jumping-off points for discussion. They've especially appreciated the clarity of the analogies and the ways that the one overriding analogy continues throughout many of the videos.While this is called ABSOLUTE BASICS, and it is "basic" enough for people at all levels to understand, it's not watered-down. It communicates an impressive amount of substance and provided several points that were new to even our long-time churchgoers.

The Absolute Basics of the Christian Faith is an engaging study of Christianity ideal for confirmation classes with youth, strengthening new believers, and even reviewing and reinforcing solid faith foundations in older believers as well.When I have used it in confirmation classes, the adult mentors and parents have enjoyed and benefitted from it as much as the kids did.

I found Absolute Basics to be really helpful for me as a pastor for two reasons—1. It's a great resource for newer Christians (or Christians wanting to grow in their understanding of faith). I used it as a jumping point into longer conversations with about 30 college students.2. Being 6 years removed from my time at seminary, I really like resources like this that help refresh my theology and are easily accessible.For pastors, groups leaders, or Christians wanting to grow in their understanding of faith, I recommend THE ABSOLUTE BASICS.

This book is aimed at young people, but I recommend it for anyone wanting to understand the basic Christian doctrines. Tallon uses metaphors to explain the concepts in simple, clear, accurate terms -- with sketches to complement them. It would be perfect to use for a teen study or for an introduction to Christianity for adults as well. And it's definitely something that every church library should have.
