Pinolino Baby Lock Classic - Security Fence

We purchased this gate as there was little in the way of options for gates for narrow doorways, which didn't have a trailing floor level bar when opened. On delivery I wasn't too impressed by the quality of the finish. Fitting was simple enough, the brackets screwing in to the door frame. The point for the upper latch took up more space than the door frame allowed. It overlapped but still functioned ok.We had received our other baby gate a few days before this one, and it had a simple push in mechanism on the latch to release the gate. This one has a handle on the gate which when lifted retracts the bolt. It was a little more cumbersome to use, however it did the job. The problem is that after around a month's use the handle no longer retracts the bolt, so we've had to retract the bolt such that the gate is now only secured by the bottom slot. We're going to need to replace the gate unless the mechanism can be fixed. Compared to our other gate, prior to malfunction I'd have given it 3/5. With this failure I can't recommend it.

Looks good but my only issue is you had to drill it to the door frame which will leave marks once you remove it
