Symphony No.2 'Antar', Op.9 (2nd version, rev. 1903): Study score

Antar is really the precursor of Scheherazade, a fairy tale of Persian origins. It has a strong motto theme that frequently recurs and is full of characteristic Rimsky melodic invention laid out in deft and imaginative orchestration. The 3rd movement is particularly memorable with a fine use of percussion. The printed score is clear and appears to be reproduced from the original Russian score.
