Fire bulbs, love them.

Really nice effect but not much useful light.
I have ordered few types of these new flame effect bulbs and liked these ones better than the rest. You have to understand that flame looks digitized, i.e. with only 108 led elements you can clearly see individual pixels, so the effect while real is not 100% immersive. Having frosted outer glass may help as it will smooth out the flame. Bulb has four modes: orange glow, pulsating glow, flame effect and finally, upside down flame effect if bulb is hung upside down. The colour is pleasing warm orange. Some other similar bulbs have a more yellow color which I personally do not like as much. 6W bulb does not produce much light, so if you have need to light the driveway or patio, look somewhere else. This is purely decorative bulb. Bulb outer shell is quite long. I had no problem putting it in my outside light fixtures but if you have small short fixtures, it may not fit.

These have been in use for a few months now. No signs of giving out. They work best in a frosted globe or w/e, but I have them in jars that I've affixed to my ceiling light fixtures. It's a bit like a medieval castle in here.... They look better than what the photo can capture.

I have written to the maker before,never received an answer.In the past year or so I have purchased 10 of these bulbs,of which 2are working.The longest time the bulbs worked was 3 months. I believe the maker claims 10,000 hours. I am willing to accept I possibly received bulbs from a bad lot,but 10 in a year makes me concerned I wasted my money.Maybe I missed something,I hope to hear back with some answers
