fabulous sandals outta the box
These babies are comfy! All 3 straps are adjustable, the foot-bed is properly configured, and the fit is perfect for me! All of the matreial that contacts the foot is really comfy/soft synthetic of some kind, great for the water. I have mini duck feet: men's size 6 1/2 3E! and these sandals fit right out of the box. I had to snug up the right foot strap over the ball/front of the foot, and the heal on the left, otherwise magnifico! If the your foot is flopping around a bit up front, just snug up the front strap a tiny bit and BANG, big comfort. I figured that out after 50 feet. I am very pleased with this purchase. Real well made, will likely last many, many years. And, they are made in Vietnam - a blossoming, burgeoning democracy - not China. I would have sent them back if from China, the CCP wants to rule the world, and I ain't gonna help! Cheers to freedom and toes free to wiggle in the air.

Very good, strong and comfortable
Was looking for sandals with a buckle, which is more convenient and durable than velcro, unfortunately, Teva doesn't offer many of such nowadays.Runs smaller vs the regular Teva sizing I got used to, e.g. this 13 is ~5-6mm smaller than the 13 of Teva Holliway and Teva Hurricane XLT2 Alp that I have. Still ok.Overall happy with this pair, very comfortable, looks tough and durable, the dark olive colour looks somewhat military.

No annoying velcro to take on/off, good build quality, only one minor annoyance
I absolutely cannot stand velcro that needs to be separated to take off sandals. It's fine for setting adjustments, but on/off? No. I do not want an annoying RIP sound every time I take them off. Sadly, a lot of sandal makers have gone to using just velcro closure, because it's CHEAPER. Not because it's SMARTER. It's not. It's dumb. While Teva does have quite a number of all velcro closure sandal models, this pair, the Tanway, uses a plastic clasp with velcro to set length adjustments. Clasps can be good and poor. These are mostly good. The best are ones that you can attach and remove with a single hand. With the Tanway, it takes just one hand to close the clasp. The receiving end stands up pretty easily and it's low effort to get the clip end to slide in using only the tips of two fingers. Removal is a little more effort, because you have to pinch the clasp, but you can do that with one hand. My 15 year old Clark sandals are easier, as you need just one finger--pushing a center release button.Durability is good. Teva is known for that. Very nice moderately aggressive grip sole, without showing an overly aggressive side view. The straps seem to be a decently made webbing and the inner neoprene layer adds some good cushioning.Comfort wise, this is where they get 4 stars. The issue is the toe. When a maker designs the strap on the front, they have to determine if there's going to be any fabric overlaying and how it will fall. With the Tanway, a small piece of strap fabric extends halfway up alongside your large toe. The top strap material comes down and folds over it, causing a pronounced fabric edge to press against your toe. In the beginning, it bothered me enough after trying them on where I thought I'd return them. Yet, I got a super deal price-wise and decided to stick it out. It got better. But this doesn't resolve completely. No shoe is perfect. And only very expensive multi-hundred dollar shoes are void of flaws. The Tanway are a good shoe for casual wear, lounging around and such, but long walks? No. You don't want these as hiking sandals if your big toe is large. You will get blisters there. The GOOD thing is that's the only place. Everywhere else is fine. Even the foot bed is well done, with a slightly rough texture for anti-slip.I take very good care of my sandals and since I won't be using these for long walks or hikes, I expect they'll last over a decade, maybe more. I don't know if Teva plans to continue the Tanway. If they do, I hope they address this toe issue, which doesn't seem present on a number of their other models.

Great Sandals
I have been wearing Tevas for more than 20 years. My last pair broke last summer after many years of service. These new sandals are exactly like my old ones but in different color. I have always loved the buckle closure on this model of Teva. The straps stay tight and these are easy on and off.

very comfortable solid sandals
These are comfortable. Good footbed, and toes have freedom in the front. Easy to get on and custom tightened.A prior pair did start to separate, footbed from sole. Not so good, but they had a lot of miles on them. Nothing lasts forever.

Pricey - But Worth It
I have been wearing Teva Sandals for decades. I have several criticisms:1) The velcro wears out before the sandals wear out. The buckle models eliminate this; the buckles are far more durable than the velcro. Don't pay attention to the names of the different sandals, pay attention to the buckle.2) The price. Seriously these are overpriced compared to others that have similar product. I have tried many others, I always come back to Tevas. I have quit trying, I just buy Teva when I wear an old pair out.3) For an open shoe, they get really funky. I wear these daily. The best answer, have two (2) pairs and alternate them.Given that I no longer look at the competition, I am a repeat buyer, and I accept that the cost is higher and yet I start here, I have to go with a 5-star review. I don't take 5-star reviews lightly; this one is deserved.

Great quality, very comfortable.
This is my 4th pair of Teva sandals. I really like these. The material is fairly soft, but feels like it’s good quality. These feel and look good. I can comfortably walk (long distances) and run in these. I go on a 5 mile walk every evening with my family and wear these. They are great!

NOT GOOD QUALITY!
THE GOOD: -fast shipment THE BAD: -uncomfortable -faded color THE BOTTOM LINE: These sandals are nothing like the original Teva sandals. The quality cannot be compared even one percent. The sandals are very much uncomfortable. And the color is faded black which I did not like at all. I would not recommend wasting your money on this.
