Consistently delicious!
I purchased this coffee for 10+ years. Originally from a small coffee shop by the bags until I moved away and now have to order online. This coffee is often out of stock on Amazon, which to me means that each time you are able to order it will be a fresh batch from the roasters. Every time I order from Amazon, it does not disappoint. It’s always fresh with an oily sheen on the beans; I consider this a medium to dark roast with no odd sour aftertaste. My go to brewing method is grinding the beans right before using with a pour over. Yes, the price per ounce seems slightly high, but you won’t be disappointed in the quality and taste.

Should be easily rated with Black Ivory and Kopi Luwak
I have been drinking coffee all over the world for 30 years. Caffe D'Arte Capri is as smooth, non-bitter, bold, and fantastic brewed, pressed, pour over, semi-automatic, and traditional espresso as any coffee you'll ever experience. Thick, dense crema that holds sugar as long as any Italian espresso cafe. Rich latte and cappuccino you can taste the coffee through. If you love coffee, you must try Caffe D'Arte Capri.

Delicious
This product is local to my area and I absolutely love it. I’ve worked in espresso stands and we always used Cafe D’Arte so I started buying them when I got myself the Breville machine. The beans are always fresh and oily. They save really well. I drink 2 shots a day, every day, and a 5lb bag lasts me about 3 months. Maybe a little less than. My husband sometimes makes his coffee too. I definitely recommend this brand and just try the different roasts until you find which one you like most. They’re all amazing.

Excellent Coffee no matter the style
I am a coffee snob. No way around it. My Wife and I have had hundreds of different types of coffees, from all over the world, and across america. But I have yet to find anything as good as The Meaning of Life. We use is it as Drip, Latte, espresso, cold brew, Mochas and in deserts and it is all amazing. We get the whole bean and grind (though we have had the pre ground, and it is still very good.) The only coffee that may top this was an $80 per cup Kopi Luwak coffee from a super expensive high end restaurant (but that is a story for another time)10/10 would recommend

Okay, but…
This dark roast decaffeinated coffee, to my taste, comes across as slightly bitter and slightly burnt. Brewing at a lower temperature or switching from drip brew to moka pot helped to improve the taste, but not to an ideal level.I did not find a roasting date on the package, which is always disappointing.

Smooth robust flavor
I first had a cup of this delicious coffee at a local cafe and couldn’t believe it was their house coffee ☕️. I use sugar and 1/2 & 1/2 and I’m just sayin I think I dream anticipating about my ritual morning cup of Java now!!

Not what it used to be
This is not about a bad service experience, shipping damage or one bad batch of beans. What happened??? This used to be an excellent decaf espresso option (see my original review below). The last 4-5 bags I have received are a completely different product (so I know this isn’t a one-off issue.) The beans no longer have an oily sheen, they produce zero crema, and it just can’t pull a decent shot. I had to put my grinder on the finest setting and it was still coming out too fast. Before I was pulling great shots at a grind 8 settings or so above the finest grind. It’s also coming out watery along with coming out way too fast. The flavor is off - like a low quality SF Bay or other disappointing decaf option for espresso. Not sure if they changed the sourcing of their beans along with their roasting, but this is no longer worth it at any price if your goal is to use it for espresso. It isn’t my machine or grinder - backflushing the machine and cleaning the grinder make no difference and my espresso maker is doing as well as ever with other beans.—-original review below so you can see the difference—-Finally a decaf espresso roast that delivers a robust, rich flavor and a respectable crema! If like me you have been disappointed by the decaf roasts from Peet’s (zero crema, flavors not all there) and Starbucks (mysteriously unavailable for purchase on their At Home site or any store I have tried) give this one a go. I have tried others you can order through Amazon including Lavazza Dek (my long-time go-to decaf espresso roast), SF Bay, Allegro, and Kicking Horse and have found beans just not to my liking. If you want a slightly darker espresso roast, deeper flavor and good crema this one may be for you too.
