This double ZWave Plus switch solves an issue that I’ve had with my garage lights for years, since I started automating my home: the garage light switches do not have a neutral wire in the box and nearly all ZWave switches require a neutral.This automates by installing on top of the existing switches. It uses small motors to press the existing switch off or on. Installation was a breeze. ZWave inclusion to my Hubitat C7 hub using network inclusion was fast and easy. Remote automated operation via the hub has been without failure.The package includes the two switches and covers which are installed individually and join on a duplex box. Batteries are included.There are a few shortcomings. The two switches have two cover plates, so there’s a visible seam between the paddles. The motor assembly is about 1/2 inch thick and stands from the wall more than a standard switch cover. Neither of these are an issue for me, in the garage, but make sure you are OK with the distinct look.I have an Ecolink garage door sensor that has worked without issues. After 2 years, it’s still working great with the original battery. These switches each required new batteries after only 6 weeks. Each switch requires two AA batteries, four generic AA alkaline batteries are included in the package. I’m hoping the included batteries were the issue and it’s not an inherent problem with high battery use. Since I just replaced the original batteries I’m waiting to find out how long they last.I hope this has been helpful.

I was skeptical but after a 10min install this seamlessly connected to my Samsung Hub. Simple and smart, a little mechanism physically flips the old switch on and off. It was great for my garage where I cared little about appearances.Edit: a month ago, one of the rocker sides began experiencing an odd issue: it would not detect the battery life accurately and always presented it as 1% or 0% despite fully charged batteries. troubleshooting with ecolink was a disaster - I had more troubleshooting suggestions than the rep.my solution was simply to reverse the rockers as coincidentally, I hardly ever use the other side and the side that malfunctioned was used multiple times daily.ECOLINK IF YOU ARE READING THIS HELP ME

This switch is just what I needed, I have switches that control non dimmable lights, and don't have neutral behind the switches. This is quite difficult with the current Z-Wave hardware available now as most of them require a neutral.I can't review battery life yet, haven't had them very long, but they are reliable, report instant status (if switch is manually operated, it reports that change to the home automation controller).I also purchased the single gang version of this switch.

Quick and easy!

Works good, but a bit noisy. Installation was easy and is a good alternative/solution when you have a light switch that is missing a neutral.

I have added about 6 of these to my houses. Super easy to install and I don't need to worry about the wiring which can be a problem for many z-wave switches. These work fine with Homeseer 4. The only downside is the Batteries. Alkaline did not last long even when they are not switched by automation and just used like a regular switch because they still report changes to the computer. The battery indicator in the app drops quickly with alkaline batteries. I have gone to lithium batteries which I believe it likes better and will make me happier. I plan on keeping these switches as they serve my needs.
