This product works!
I have been dealing with a long history of back pain since my injury in Iraq, 2002. This product works pretty well so far by allowing me to decompress my lower, mind and upper back through relaxation and natural gravity. I have been routinely getting massages every month for years to deal with the tension and pain in my cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. Doctors have only recommended physical therapy and medications, both of which never did much other than complicate things with additional side effects. This is a medication free treatment device that is extremely cheap in comparison to other options I have tried. Overall I have been able to get better results with this option then other methods. I have been working on my back for over 18 years and this seems to be the missing last step. I would like to be up front though you have to expect some adjustment pains, I noted a significant increase in pain after vertebrae adjusted for 2 days, given I have had pain for so long though it was not that big a deal for me and something I was aware could happen due to past experience with different treatments. I hope my review will help someone out there finally get some relief by trying this product. I would say go slow, the basic first step for this product is more then enough of a curve to help the majority of people. I would say higher steps in the curve are for people with a great deal of flexibility, so pretty healthy spine people looking for additional flexibility. I can do the second step pretty easily now but don’t see the benefit as much as the lower step allows for great relaxation and depth for the pressure points. These hard points might be difficult to endure for sensitive people, but can also help one release thorough breathing exercises and relaxation.

Noticeable Difference
I'm 6'5" and have had terrible lower back pain since I started working from home in March. I looked online for a solution and found this. It is easy to put together as there's only really two pieces to it. The hardest part is figuring out how to relax the tension in your body as you do it. It takes some time to figure out, but once you do, you'll feel it. I have an athletic build and I'm in good shape, weighing 235 lbs. and this thing supports my weight no problem. It never feels like it's going to fail or break under my weight. I started off on the 'beginner' setting and after about a month I switched to the 'moderate' setting (there's three settings). I started to notice more of a difference once I made the switch to the moderate setting, although I would not suggest jumping right in to moderate, no matter how flexible you think you are. It's best to get used to the thing first, then to move up to the next setting. Before I started using this, I couldn't sit in my desk chair for 30 minutes straight, now I can sit at my desk chair for a full 8 hour workday no problem. I use this to stretch my back out anywhere from two to three times a day at five minutes a session. I'll do one in the morning, one at lunch, and one after work has concluded.

Was skeptical but have had major relief.
I have had this back stretcher for 2 days now and used it for only 5 minutes here or there. Pain I have had for years has gone away and I'm able to stretch easier and looser than I have in a long while. I went kayaking yesterday for five miles and noticed better posture naturally and without pain there and while driving. I have slept better in bed with less hip pain. I know it is still early, but I'm pretty convinced this thing works, especially since I have significantly improved range of motion and looseness. I'll update in a few months so see if it still works as good. As far as using it, it feels like it's not doing much when you're on it, depending up how high you have the arch. At most extreme, it feels like an intense stretch. Start slow with the bent knee stretch as shown and you can work your way up to the more intense stretches. Be careful getting off and do so as per the diagram so you don't strain yourself and undo the work of laying on the arch. After my first time using it, I felt instant relief when I got up and have not had the crazy pain from before come back since. I'm going to keep using it, even though I don't even feel like I need to that often. Especially for the price, I highly recommend this thing. It has done with orthos, chiros and medicine could not!

Good Idea but poor actual item usefulness
I am not sure what I was expecting when I purchased this back stretcher. After reading others’ reviews, it sure made me believe it would really help, so I jumped on the self-chiropractic train to help relieve my back pain. Initially, I was very excited to try the item. I tried it for four days, and it did very little for me. I didn’t feel any better. I only momentarily felt better when I was actually on the stretcher. Truthfully, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to feel or how long it will take to feel “better” or “improvements”. Once I got up, it felt the same as before. It honestly would be a great solution if I had hours in my day to lay on it, but I don’t. I would recommend onlyif you have light to moderate and would avoid if you have severe back pain. Chiropractic care may be a better option. Good luck! Hope it works out for you.

Absolutely worth it (at least for me)
I threw out my back and was in an incredible amount of pain if I tried to bend in any direction. This little thing was a lifesaver. I didn't want to spend hundreds to go to the dr. and get scans and then chiro/PT, so I gave this and a back brace a try in hopes that it would make the pain manageable. It ABSOLUTELY worked and now my back pain is less than what it was before it completely gave out! Assembly does require some force after the first notch. The highest notch was pretty difficult the first few times I switched it, but I'm also 5'2", so that setting just made me feel like I was almost doing a complete back bend, but seemed okay for my 6' partner. I alternate between the lowest and middle notch. The spikes on it is not painful at all and provides some needed pressure. I think you can put in on your chair and use it that way. I've just been putting it on the floor and laying on it for 5-10 minutes at the beginning and end of the day. The first time I used it, my back cracked in about 12 different places which kind of scared the crap out of me but I immediately felt so much better. I'm honestly in love with this thing and I'm pretty picky and have commitment issues. And yes- that's absolutely ridiculous because it's literally just two pieces of plastic. Now just be mindful that I never found out why my back gave out so will this be as life changing for you as it was for me? I sure as heck can't tell you, but if my 2 cents are worth anything, I'd say it's worth a try. (I'm 100% not saying that this is an alternative to professional medical care and do not follow the example of someone who makes questionable decisions about her health)

Be careful.
I don't have photos, and when I tried to write this review the first time it wasn't accepted for some reason. I was so excited to use this, I've had horrible back problems due to a car accident that happened on February 14th in 2021.* Let me start by saying, you have to be super strong to actually get this into the notches. It took 3 people for me. Unfortunately, the first time, I decided I would try to set it up by myself. My hand got caught inside of the notch, between both sides of incredibly hard plastic. I had to rip off a chunk of skin to get my hand unstuck, and when the adrenaline wore off, I was dry heaving on the bathroom floor. When all was said and done and I tried to get it put in the bag it came with to put it away, the zipper broke off. Now I can't open it without cutting the bag open. It took a week to get feeling back in my hand, and a little bit longer for the swelling and bruising to go down. Watch your hands when you're setting it up. And if you're not sure if you can do it yourself, please ask someone for help. I don't think I'll ever want to use this product again, so I gifted it to my brother. If you get this, it may help with back problems (it didn't do much for me). Just be CAREFUL when setting it up.

I think this thing works.
I want to preface this review by saying that I've used this for three days. I'll update my review in a couple weeks. I fell from my grandparents' porch and landed on my back when I was a child. They had an above ground basement, so I fell a pretty big distance. I also developed bad posture as a teen. I've had some back and neck pain my whole life. Two pregnancies with large babies probably didn't help, either. For the last few months, my pain became more serious, and even more so after beginning to sit at a desk for 8/9 hours at a time at the beginning of August. I decided to order this back-stretching device on a whim. I do still have pain (It's only been a few days), but I've noticed that I can move my right arm more easily, which is crazy to me. Just a few days ago, I was in pain while wiping myself, and I'm still a young-ish person. After laying on this device, I feel at peace and like I can get some sleep. I've had insomnia for a long time and hadn't realized it was spine-related. I'm hoping that this will eventually fix my hiatal hernia, as well. If you can't tell, my spine has caused a lot of problems for me. I'm sorry if my thoughts seemed jumbled, but I wanted to write this review after using the back stretcher again and before I fall asleep.

Good Support, Take it Slow!!!
I really like this product, I bought it after I pulled my back and it helped me slowly stretch it out. Be careful though, I feel like I could pull it worse trying to get off of it!! I always roll off it onto my stomach and get up from there. It's not super comfortable, but the shape is good for an occasional back stretch. Be sure to start from the lowest setting, you could really hurt yourself if you slam down on the high arch, I've done it!! But good support overall, I probably wouldn't buy it again though.

Great for lower back pain in between medical treatments
I have lower back pain and have had since I was 15. It got to its worst in 2014 when I had to seek Chiropractic treatment. A long story short, on occasion my back requires some stretching and this device works well. I've only got it on the first setting as advised. I was going to start on the second setting but the first is difficult enough. I call it the STD (spinal torture device) as it hurts to begin with. A lot. I have to lie gently on it and slowly let my muscles relax which takes a few minutes. Once relaxed I can feel my back ease. This does become easier after repeated use. Once done, it says to roll off to one side and rest. This is what I do - only 'rest' = 'roll into the foetal position'. It makes me feel winded for 10 seconds or so. It turns out I'm not built to be a gymnast which comes as no great surprise. It sounds grisly but it really does help with the stretches. The spikes are meant to do something with pressure points but to be honest they're the least of your worries as curving your spine the wrong way causes the most grief. All to good effect though. On the whole I would recommend by STD to anybody.

Helped my sisters chronic back pain 💕
Excellent product, as someone who doesn’t suffer chronic pain it did an amazing job after hard days work or just a good needed crack! For my sister with chronic pain she is obsessed with it! It’s made a huge difference for her! If you have chronic pain and or spinal fusing she reccomends using it for short periods as using it for extended times can cause more pain, but short bursts does an amazing job at relieving pain💕 Great product 10/10
