Aroy-D Coconut Milk 8.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)

I've been using this brand of coconut milk for years. It tastes amazing and is great for being plastic endocrine disruptor-free (because not in a can) and additive free (no gums, preservatives or stabilizers which are bad for your gut). Because it doesn't contain stabilizers or preservatives it goes bad quickly, but can be stored in the fridge safely for two days and I find I can drink a whole 8.5 oz container to myself in my coffee or diluted to make coconut milk for smoothies/cereal in that time frame.I love that this doesn't taste heavily of coconut and tends to remain as milk even though coconut milk often separates into water and fat. If it does separate (as often happens in cooler ambient temps), soaking in a hot water bath for 5-10 minutes takes care of it. I have small glass jars I transfer the leftovers to to keep the unused portion fresh.Only think is the most recent purchase from Kah Mart was of inferior quality. It tasted like it had gone bad and was thin and watery. I tried contacting the seller and they did not get back to me in the expected time frame, so I contacted Amazon and they gave me a refund for the inferior product and I ordered a new batch from another seller.I've been purchasing this product in the same 8.5 oz container monthly for the last 9 months and experienced no issues with quality until this most recently batch (all different sellers). I sure hope it was just the batch which is supposed to expire May 24, 2018 and not a change in product quality overall.

Based on past reviews, it looks like this company went through a rough patch with their quality. I've been ordering this product for the last few months regularly and have been very happy with it. I heard about this brand through a facebook group I follow when I was looking for a non-dairy milk that didn't have fillers. This brand was highly recommended and I'm glad I didn't read the past reviews on here otherwise I might not have purchased it. I use it every morning in my coffee and it also works well in oatmeal, smoothies, cooking, etc.The recommendation to use within 3 days of opening the carton is pretty accurate. I didn't not find a different when transferring the milk to a bottle with a lid vs. just leaving it in the carton with the open corner folded over. Same shelf life in the fridge and less dishes when leaving it in the carton. :)

I have been ordering Aroy-D coconut milk for my coffee for 8 years or so. It's always been smooth and made my morning coffee a treat. I usually order 2 dozen at a time. The last two batches have been awful - the top crusted with solid fat, and watery liquid at the bottom. I even heated each carton in a double boiler to see if it would help mix it to the right consistency, but separated again immediately after cooling down. I ordered a second batch, hoping it was a fluke but the second batch was the same. I guess I'll find a different creamer for my coffee.

This is the best coconut milk. The quality and flavor are always excellent. I have ordered these a lot of times. Very occasionally there is a dented can, usually slightly dented.

I found this brand of coconut milk in cans originally while on vacation in Costa Rica in February. My friends bought it by the case...24 cans of 12 ounces each. They converted me from cows milk to coconut milk in my coffee, because this was the most delicious milk I’ve ever tasted! I already love coconut milk but if you’re looking for the kind with the separation of cream, then this one might not be for you. There are other brands that have thick cream to use for non dairy whipped cream. This is not the one for that. However, it is THE BEST COFFEE CREAMER EVER!Two months later, during Quarantine, I could only find Arroy-D coconut milk here on Amazon, in cartons. Well, thank goodness! It was the exact same taste and consistency I had already fallen in love with! I had found a sense of bliss in my coffee and coconut milk, in the midst of this horrible pandemic! Thank Source for this creamer! Otherwise I would be stuck with cows milk and lots of stomach aches (yes I am probably lactose intolerant!).This packaging was good, plastic covered and no damage. I am very pleased and will order again and again!

Several years ago I fully transitioned from buying canned coconut milk to buying carton coconut milk, based on chef Pai's advice from Hot Thai Kitchen. In Thailand, coconut milk always comes in cartons like this, never in cans. None of the Asian grocery stores where I've lived carry the cartoned one (though I've seen it when visiting other cities in North America), so I've been buying on amazon for a few years now. The pack of small cartons is ideal because I usually need only 1/2 to a 1 pack's worth for a single meal, and because the coconut milk in cartons is very fresh, it will spoil if kept open too long (try to consume with a week). The quality difference is remarkable; the first time you get cartoned coconut milk, do a side by side taste test with ANY canned brand; there is no comparison. This is an essential step in elevating your Thai / SE asian cooking to the next level.

While it cannot compare to freshly squeezed coconut milk from fresh coconut, this is real coconut milk, unlike the tasteless, odorless, milky water masquerading as coconut milk in my local supermarket.I particularly like the 8-oz portion (well, 8.5 oz, to be exact) since most of the time, 1 cup of coconut milk is all I need. So I could simply open the carton, empty the content, and toss it in the recycling bin--no measuring cup needed, which means one fewer thing to wash. It also means no extra container needed to store the leftover coconut milk, which is what tends to happen when using the more ubiquitous 13.5-ounce can.This coconut milk is quite thick and concentrated. Even when mixed with 1 or 2 cups of water when the dish calls for thinner liquid, the resulting broth/sauce/soup does not lose much of the coconut flavor and aroma. And again, no need to bring out the measuring cup; filling up the empty carton with water does double duty of measuring 1 cup of water and making sure no coconut milk is left in the carton to waste.Since there are many sellers of this product at Amazon, it may come from a vendor that may have stored the product in a freezer. I once received a package of these, and when I opened it, the coconut milk was a gloppy mess; the water and the cream had separated. I know from experience that's what happens when coconut milk is frozen and then thawed. Thankfully that only happened once, and since then all the deliveries have been quite satisfactory.

I made another 5 star review of the coconut cream, but thought I'd give the milk some love, too. This has been my go-to brand for years, very reliable with a simple ingredient list, just coconut and water. No gums or other junk. This size container is perfect for a week's worth of coffee creamer. Coconut milk doesn't keep much longer than that in the fridge (no preservatives.)
