I have no idea what on God's green Earth is going on with these little crunchy nuggets, but my Yorkies go absolutely bat-****-crazy for them. They recognize the sound of the plastic pouch from the other end of the house--and they've also been known to sit in front of the package with a very pointed stare and forceful bark to let me know it's time for a treat. (I actually do use them as treats vs. a meal, as I have them on a raw food diet.) These are a perfect distraction device -- easy to throw a handful in the middle of the room (or the backseat of a car) for a game of "get 'em while you can" while I get some stuff done and not have to worry about coming back to a mess you need to clean up. They're also the perfect addition to a doggie "trail mix" -- something you can add to the treat bag to bulk up the options before you go on that 10-mile hike. Here's one of my girls having just enjoyed a handful!

I use these as training treats for my two large dogs - they are that good that my dogs go crazy for them, are a perfect size for treating, and nutritious enough that I feel good using the amounts needed in training (it’s basically a nutritious meal they get during a fun training session). We have also tried the fish dry food, which the dogs love, but it has a fishy smell. The duck flavor does not have a strong odor, dogs love it!

My dog is a very picky eater. He likes this food okay, but LOVES the chicken recipe much better (light blue package).

Truly the best dog food on the market. My dog loves it, has never had any gut issues and after putting him on Lotus all his itchiness and skin rashes went away.

My little MaltiPoo eats like a wolf, and this is his favorite food. We walk a mile or so each morning and on the way home I free him a large handful of the crunchy bits. I toss them on the sidewalk ahead of us to keep him moving, and he eats along the way. I know he's getting all the nutrients that Maltese dogs need. He also joins us for filet mignon once in a while.

Maybe I got a bad batch? It smells stale, like cardboard. Usually my dogs get excited for any new flavor, but they aren't keen on this. It's not a matter of baked vs. extruded--they have been enthusiastic about different baked kibbles in the past.I had high hopes that this would be a good baked option, given the ingredients and guaranteed analysis. Disappointed. Will not buy again.
