Counter top unit, long life in a small package
Surprisingly small but effective. The unit is about as big as a Dawn foam pump dispenser so it really does not take a lot of counter space. Easy to use, a simple turn of the valve directs water through the filter.Water quality improvement is noticeable. My community uses chloramine (chlorine and ammonia) for secondary disinfection and why we bought the mini-1ccb model as it specifically treats for chloramine. We plan on using the filter water for baby formula and wanted more assurance the water would be as pure as possible. The water after being filtered has no odor or taste, noticeable difference. The filter has very good water flow.Install was easy only requiring a pair of pliers, but where the unit loses a star. You have to remove your existing aerator and attach the filter valve unit. It comes with thread adapters, disappointing that the adapters are all plastic so make sure you use the proper washers and do not over tighten else the plastic threads everywhere will strip. I di wish more metal was used overall in the entire valve assembly. Some small zip ties would have been a good addition to the install kit to secure the hose to the faucet neck. The hoses are of good enough quality albeit a tad rigid, and connect to the filter base very easily and without tools. The filter itself is a single unit, when replaced there is nothing to rinse, clean, or flush. Zero maintenance required. The filter replacement requires no tools as well and they seem to be affordable, we will see how long the filter lasts.Edit 8-31-2020Well we finally replaced the filter, it was about 10 months old. The water quality was still fine with no noticeable chloramine odor or funny tastes, it was just the water volume had decreased a noticeable amount. Getting 10 months of daily use in a family of 5 for drinking, coffee making, formula and cooking is amazing! The replacement filter is quite affordable for the amount of filtered water it provides. At about a year of very often daily use, the diverter valve that attaches to the faucet began to drip water when the diverter was off. I emailed Perfect Water, the manufacturer of the filter, based in Arizona, what the issue was and provided a digital copy of my Amazon invoice. The matter of a few hours later I received an email Response apologizing for the issues and notification of a new complete diverter assembly being shipped to my home address. Amazing customer service! I received the new assembly in days and it installed quickly, the entire system is running like new again. Perfect Water has a customer for life!Edit 9-10-2021I seriously can't believe it has been another year, and we just replaced the Mini-1CCB filter! For average family of now 3, (little ones grow fast and leave the nest) it really does last about a year. I started seeing the tell tale sign of needing replacement, and that was the water pressure from the filter was getting slower, which is from the catalytic carbon block pores getting clogged with impurities, and that slows the water flow.We are on municipal water, (MWRA Mass) and it is very good water to begin with. I love this filter as it requires catalytic carbon to remove chloramine, the final and long lasting disinfectant the MWRA uses to ensure water quality from source to tap. The water has very little solids and impurities that would clog the Mini CCB filter and probably explains why some reviews say the filter lasts so long (like us) and some that say it lasted mere weeks. If you are on well water there will be higher solids in the water and cause the filter to clog sooner, and ultimately cause the filter to suffer an early demise while in fact the active carbon in the filter could still purify many more gallons to come. If that is the case, consider getting a whole house sediment filter first, then use the Mini 1CCB as your final tap source, and it should perform much better.I have left my review and updates of this product at 4 stars until this review, as of today, it gets 5.

Fantastic water filter! UPDATE REVIEW!
SECOND UPDATE: Contacted customer service 6 months after purchase. Sink adapter in one of my 4 filters was leaking. Incredible customer service. New adapter being shipped free! This company is FANTASTIC! Best drinking water ever! Using 2 in Virginia and 2 in California! Don’t hesitate to purchase these filters!UPDATE: After 6 months I’m just as thrilled with this filter as when new. Have purchased two. One for me, one for son’s place. About to purchase a 3rd as one son just moved to CA. Love the purity of the water! Wish I could give it 10 stars!Thrilled to find this product! Tired of buying bottled water. The savings will be huge! Our city water tastes awful. Simple hook up, takes less than 5 minutes. Flow rate is great! Love that it’s Made in the USA. Only improvement would be a way to know when to change the filter, other than after a year. The water tastes better than the Deer Park I’ve been buying for years. Thank you, Jon, President from AZ. Your personally signed letter was a nice touch. After seeing how all the other faucet filters leaked, I just had a good feeling about this one. It hasn’t disappointed!

Ideal faucet mounted system
12/19/2020 update:The manufacturer was kind enough to send another replacement diverter valve and the system is working like new again. Their top notch product support assures customers' concerns will be taken care of. A more durable or serviceable diverter valve would be a welcomed improvement.11/2020 update:I'm on a second diverter valve and it's already leaking worse than the first one. Nice replaceable filter design, but unfortunately lacks durability, which defeats the purpose of the interchangeable filter feature. The search for a reliable faucet filter system continues.Original review:The last couple of Brita faucet filter systems only lasted 6 months before they started leaking or the plastic lever broke rendering it useless so I decided to try something different. I discovered this new countertop style of filter system and it's been working very reliably with no mechanical issues or leaking. The plastic lever to divert between tap and filtered water is very strong and requires much less effort to actuate unlike the previous systems I've tried.Another added benefit is that the filter cartridge is not mounted on the faucet head so it's hardly noticeable and unobtrusive. As long as you have adequate countertop space, this type of filtration system has many added benefits over the faucet mounted styles including a larger filter that lasts twice as long. The only thing worth noting about what could be improved so far is that there isn't any indication of filter life remaining, but they're rated for a year with average use so I just schedule an annual reminder to myself to keep track of when the filter is due for replacement.

A lot of bang for your buck.
This filtration system is amazing. It was tremendously easy to set up and the instructions were easy to understand. The system is *tiny* and fits on the sink top between my sprayer nozzle and the wall. When engaged, the filtered water comes out plentifully, with decent water pressure and tastes incredible. I like that the filter in this system should last a long time before needing replacement (actual performance tbd). I’ve done a fair bit of research about what type of water filter meets my needs and the fact that this system filters chloramine (chlorine and amonia that’ve been chemically bonded) as well as chlorine was my prmary reason for choosing it. My city water isn’t fluoridated, so that wasn’t an issue for me. All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase. Here’s a link to a good research article about activated carbon filters like this one: https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/publications/environment-natural-resources/filtration-sediment-activated-carbon-and-mixed-mediaAll right kids, here’s wishing us all a happy, healthy, hydrated 2019!

No servia
