Unlike other MMOs
This is not WoW, it's not guild wars, or anything really like either of those games. AQW is a unique experience when it comes to MMOs. I grew up playing Adventure Quest and Dragon Fable and I loved the way you could watch the game grow around you every week with new releases. I like how they always had special events for holidays, even ones you've never heard of before. I liked the style of comedy, rampant with slapstick and puns. It's a strange thing to rate a game like this, a game that's constantly growing, it might be easier to rate they people who make it. They are why I'm giving this game 5 stars. Their dedication and drive to make a game that they love is apparent in the way they talk about every new feature and release. This game isn't pay to win, and it's not their fault some people can't spend responsibly, most things you can buy are cosmetics. Some things you can buy have more use, like buying bank spaces to hold items, there are even some shortcuts if farming for weeks to get an item isn't your cup of tea. You don't even need to buy anything, this is a free game. That's why you should give it a try if you're on the fence about it. Heck, you should try it even if you think you'll hate it and if you were right then you won't miss anything but you might discover you enjoy it. So give this game a chance, form your own opinion about it. You might even decide that you want to buy AC. When you buy an AC package, you are supporting a great independent game company make a game they love for a community that loves their game, their antics, and most of all them. Battle On!

Don't listen to the bad reviews
I got what i wanted...and no it's not a dead game sometimes it's just not everyone will wanna be on and no it's not a boring game it obvious the play to win one's don't know what they're talking about they give away 500 acs 5 times in a year yes and inventory space each birthday so no you don't have to buy anything u just got to be able to have a good waiting mentality. I love the game it's grindy...yes but it's amazing at the same time...i make a lot of friends and i know a lot of active players people who call this dead don't even know what dead is. The game has been a total blast from the past! whoever want's to go the long mile and buy this package do it!

Not Pay to Win!
I noticed many of the reviews that gave a lower rating claimed that this game is pay to win. This means you need to spend real money to even compete with with other players. This is completely false. I've been playing this game for 3 years and it is not pay to win. A free player can get everything they need by simply grinding. There are shortcuts to this grinding which is where you spend money, but it's not necessary. Being a member has very minimal benefits from what I've seen. They get access to some extra cosmetics and a few member classes. However, there are many classes available to free players that are just as powerful. In my opinion, the only reason you would want to become a member is to gain access to better looking gear. Weapons perform just about the same so being a member won't give you access to the "ultimate" weapon as such a weapon doesn't exist. All in all, this game is great and I have poured many hours into it.

Only reason to buy these is if you're an existing user who knows what you're getting
If you're new to AQW, stay away. For those who do not know, AQW is basically a glorified dress-up game. 95% of the actual gameplay content is composed of the same bread and butter quests (kill x monsters, collect x number of items from killing monsters, etc.). Any zone that is older than the second newest zone will likely be completely devoid of other players, meaning that if you just started and wanted to do the whole storyline, you're going to have a bad time beating the bosses. The team regularly releases new classes, which sounds good at first. However, they release classes so often that all of them inevitably either end up playing nearly the same as an existing class or being very gimmicky. Regardless, there are only a few staple classes worth getting, some of which have gone "rare."Speaking of "rare" and dress-up games, the only reason to play this game are if you started early ('08-'10) and have a handful of "rare" cosmetic items from that era. 80% of the players in this game are such players, who log in, equip their "rare" cosmetics, and idle in the social areas of the game to show off their gear.As such, the only reason to buy any money packages are if you are like me and started early, and thus did the content releases at the pace of the general AQW populace and have a bunch of "rare" items that give my account value. However, if you are starting out, the help will be few and far between, and it is virtually impossible to be able to catch up to existing accounts in all respects.

Five Stars
Ive been playing this game since the day it came out and I love it. People say you have to pay to win. Thats a lie I'm a free player and I wipe most member players butts. This game is just as good as a free player than it is as a member.

good
Most other mmo rpgs are very dull and take armors and the speech seriusly in the story. But i like the subtle humour in the cutscenes and the armors that are parodies

Well timed Delivery
Great product for a great game, but for some reason, I haven't been able to get the bonus member pet. Am I doing something wrong?
