Definitely works for feces
This deodorizes BOTH feces and urine. It was used in a portable toilet that has a holding tank that has a little over 5 gallons capacity. The toilet was used for both for urination and defecation for an entire week until the tank was full and I used one bottle of this product in the waste tank. No odor problems at all. If you had your eyes closed and stood next to the toilet with the flushing hatch wide open, you wouldn't know that it's a week's worth of fecal matter from a toilet that you're inhaling. My only misgiving is that this contains formaldehyde (the chemical used to embalm corpses, which causes cancer) and it rightly warns on the box and label that inhalation of it can be dangerous. So I purchased this same brand's other portable toilet treatment which doesn't contain that ingredient (Thetford Bio, which is available in packet form and liquid). Haven't used that one yet as I haven't finished using all of my blue ones, so I can't comment on whether or not that works as good as this.

Works as advertised
I bought this product just for my elderly mother's bedside commode she uses at night. In the morning I take it to the toilet and dump it. It always smells so bad like decomposing urine. NASTY! So, having used these type of products when I had a portable toilet on my boat, I decided to try it again. I dumped just a little bit of the product, maybe 1/2 ounce or so, then a little water to cover the bottom of the commode bowl. Today I went to dump it all down the toilet and NO MORE ODOR! For future nights, I plan on using even less of the product as it's very concentrated and just a little works for my needs. I'm certain it would be similar results in a larger tank, but I can only verify it works awesome in my small bedside commode and portable toilets.

Pleasant smell not perfume masking!
The product works as prescribed! Most of these types of products mask the odor for a minimal time in your holding tank, allowing the odor to be present very quickly, as soon as 24 hrs! This product does the job for approx 5 days, also depends on use! Gives you a little time to dump the holding tank instead of after every use! I have tried many products over the years as I am a long hall trucker with extended shack for sleeping and cooking so it like being at home! Best on the market that I have found!

Won't use anything else!
I used this stuff in my RV for two years with little to no problem and then the "expert" at the local RV store encouraged me to try some biological, non chemical stuff. So after bleaching and rinsing my tank I switched to the orange bio stuff and it was junk. It did nothing to break down the paper and our bathroom smelled like orange flavored sewage. Needless to say I went right back to the tried and true. Forget the bulk jug you have to measure out of and throw away the solid packet that take time to dissolve. This stuff works the best and even after several days it keeps the smell down and does a great job of dissolving the waste

Do yourself a favor, save money and time and get the Thetford 03106. They worked really well even in the Florida summer heat.
The Aqua-Kem RV holding tank treatment - deodorant / waste digester / detergent 8 oz - Thetford 03106 which I ordered last July worked really, really well all summer long. Much, much better than the Thetford 36535 toss-in's that I recently tried. The Thetford 03106 lasted 2.5 - 3 weeks in the heat and humidity of the Florida summer. I give the Thetford 03106 4 stars. But be advised, the Thetford 36535 toss-in's were a huge disappointment for me as they lasted only 5 days in the cool month of November. So, I gave them only 1 star. Do yourself a favor, save money and time and get the Thetford 03106 instead. I just wish I didn't have to throw away the plastic containers. Clearly when you look at the oceans, recycling is not working. So, my wish is for a Thetford product that works as well as the Thetford 03106 but is environmentally respectful and sustainable too. Hey, it's the 21st century. We're supposed to be smarter now. At least that's what they told me at the world's fair in New Yorkš

Life changer!
Growing up, my twin and I went camping all the time, but only in tents. Then my brother bought a tent trailer, and I said, "never let this leave the family." We loved it! However, when he would take it on trips, the bathroom would begin to smell. Long story, short, he sold the trailer and upgraded to a motorhome. Since then, he has bought four other motorhomes, and I have now bought an RV trailer-- right before the so-called "pandemic" started. So between the 7 RVs we've owned (collectively) we've always had bathroom smelling issues. Then my twin discovered this product-- which we can't seem to be able to buy in stores in California. Oh my goodness! What a game changer! Now our bathrooms never smell like feces! We can even use the toilet and NOT empty the tank for like six months, and it still won't smell!

Way easier than measuring!
I opted to purchase a 6-pack of Thetford Aqua-Kem 8 oz bottles after one came as a sample with our new trailer. Being a first time RV owner, I didn't know what was best or really how the alternatives stacked up. I came home with a $20 bottle that I had to measure out. After using these individual use bottles, that other stuff went right back to the store. I don't need to be messing with measuring highly stainable liquid every time. Just unscrew, dump in, and be on your way. The product is not only easy to use, but seems to work great. I have no reason to no keep buying these in the future.

The only kind I will use
We have a porta potty that we use when we go camping, and I use about a half bottle in it each time. I have found that the other stuff really stinks, literrally, and doesnt break down the bulk the way that this does. The trick is to let it sit for two weeks before cleaning it out so that it has a chance to really break down the matter. Thereās very little odor that way, and it all flushes away cleanly. I have used a lot of other brands, but have decided that this is the one I like the best and Iāll only buy this one now.
