Contemporary style Scottish kilt hose, featuring Celtic Cables on the cuff. Made from a 3ply Merino wool/acrylic blend. They are made with a fully reinforced foot, which not only adds to the comfort when wearing, but signifigantly extends the life of the hose. Most socks wear out first in the heel and toe; the nylon reinforced foot helps keep wear and tear at bay, making these hose a smart investment. Machine washable in cool water on the gentle/delicate cycle. Allow to air dry.

The gold standard
These are simply gorgeous hose! My husband and I looked high and low for kilt hose that had a rich color and texture. We were looking for something cheaper, but found nothing satisfactory. Though these are a little pricey, they are worth every penny. I bought the Tartan Green, the Charcoal, and the Ancient Blue. I wasn't sure which would match my family tartan best because the pictures can be misleading. I wanted to keep them all! The colors were perfect. I have a picture of all 3 matched with a Lochcarron of Scotland MacNeil clan tie and it was incredibly hard to decide which of the 3 to keep because they all matched perfectly.

Great Looking Kilt Hose
I like the color and pattern on these kilt hose. I have tried them on and they fit as expected. I haven’t officially worn them as I purchased them for St. Patrick’s Day wear.

Great quality!
If your guy wears a kilt, hose are a must. This color was discontinued (so if you should find them on sale - snap them up!), but the quality on this brand is excellent in any color. If your guy has larger calves, these may not be the Lewis hose you want. I know House of Cheviot has another line geared towards larger calved gents and have heard good things about those. These are for small or normal men sized calves.

Great cable knit sock - but if you want more wool up top buy the Rannoch type.
A great product with a medium amount of wool. If you want the *most* amount of wool in your cable knit hose, then buy the "Rannoch" style hose from House of Cheviot.

Don't kilt me for not giving a five.
I don't consider myself as having large calves, but these hose are rather snug at the top, but I suppose that is better than too loose.
